For those unfamiliar with the previous potions, this sort of +armor potion is QUITE useful during the "enrage" portion of some melee bosses. It lasts 2 minutes and can be consumed every 2 minutes, meaning you can keep it up as long as you want (as long as you don't mind drinking money).

The materials for this are brutal. The Ancient Lichen is found only in Outland instances or very rarely by herbalizing certain corpses. That's why these cost 10G each.

If they're too much, consider a Greater Stoneshield Potion, instead, which gives 2000 armor instead of 2500. The materials can be farmed solo without killing anything. The best catch rate on the Stonescale Eels is on the deep water islands in Azshara around midnight.

As above comments have said these potions are used forever. REPEAT forever. Used them myself many many times in end game content Im sure the pots + wonderful healers saved my life many times during crushing melee fights. Also good for undergeared tanks and cheaper than a repair bill when 2500 armor is better than some almost lvl 60~ shield. I recommend for use on bog lords in underbog everyone hates those no?

Warriors, Druids and Paladins should be constantly under the effect of this potion on hard-hitting bosses.

For Druids:

/showtooltip Ironshield potion
/script if GetSpellCooldown("Dire bear form")==0 then CancelPlayerBuff("Dire bear form") end;
/stopmacro
/use Ironshield potion
/cast Dire bear form

This macro will check whether you are under global cooldown, and if you're not it will use the potion and shift you back to bear. Do not spam it, or you will get stuck in tauren form. Just click it once.

You can bypass the 1 potion per fight limitation by drinking one of these just before you pull the boss, and drinking another one when you need it in the boss fight. Since you aren't actually in combat while drinking the first one, it won't count as your 1 potion per fight and you effectively get 2 ironshields for the fight.
