Per trovare questo pet bisogna andare a scuoiare ad Argus.

Penso che il posto migliore per farmare questo pet sia Krokuun coordinate 72 71, il respawn dei mobs è istantaneo

Finally obtained mine after 1005 skins. Like others, I focused mainly on the Alfa Mantombroso and Panthara Mantombroso around the Petrified Forest area of Krokuun, but I also spent some time in the middle skinning Panthara Divoramana on Mac'Aree. In total it maybe took around 6-7 hours. What's funny is even after all that skinning I'm still only rank 2 in Fiendish Leather...

I got mine from skinning a Chitinbuk Frenetico dell'Ombra while farming for the Carne di Talbuk Fresca. I had Fiendish rank 2 when it droped. Ive no idea how many Talbuks ive killed and skinned before this though.

I can confirm. Skinning Panthara dropped mine aswell.

I am almost 100% certain that you need Rank 2 Fiendish Leather Skinning in order to get the Pet. The drop is a rare item and Rank 2 allows you to gather rare items. Also, most people reported getting the pet with Rank 2 (some of them with Rank 3).

Finally got this bad boy! I was grinding all the Pantheras, for hours, with no luck. Was working on the Mana Buns achievement at Krokun, killing all the mobs rushing the barrier at the base of the Vindiacaar, skinning all the demon dogs, when this finally showed up. Woot!

Been farming for 3 days now and nothing - over 5000 leather, Can anyone confirm for me whether this drops from the stomachs or is just a drop upon looting the skin?

I finally got mine tonight after a couple hours farming the panthara in the petrified forest, in krokuun.
I have rank 3 fiendish leather, the full argus campaign unlocked, and about 1500 leather in my bags now (and another 800 or so in the bank from before).

I saw more of those on several US realms auction houses... Also price dropped a little. Maybe drop rate is higher with 8.0 patch? :thinking:

After 3 hours of farming it finally dropped and I strongly recommend for people that have the gold to just go and straight up buy it from the auction house. (It dropped from Panthara skinning and i had lvl 3 leather)
This was probably worth farming while it was fresh and the leather was worth something but at the moment it just doesn't seem so.
It dropped for me 15 minutes after a server shutdown but this is probably a pure coincidence.

Just had this pet drop from skinning Panthara in the Petrified Forest, Krokuun. Details for my farm are as follows:

I started this farming session with Rank 1 Fiendish Leather. It took approximately 15 minutes for the item to aquire Rank 2 Fiendish Leather to drop. I turned this in immediately. I then continued to skin Panthara in the same area for approximately 8-9 hours (not continuously) before receiving Rank 3 Fiendish Leather. I handed this in immediately also, then went back to the Petrified Forest and continued skinning. It then took approximately another 2 hours of skinning for the pet to drop.

When the pet dropped I had 800 Skinning with Rank 3 Fiendish Leather (and Legion Gutting). At the end of my farm I had the following in my inventory:

5032 Fiendish Leather
1097 Lean Shank
1447 Unbroken Claw
1306 Unbroken Tooth
96 Primal Sargerite

It would be my guess that either I had terrible luck with getting this to drop or you require Rank 3 Fiendish Leather to be eligible for it to appear in the loot table. Note that the pet dropped from skinning Panthara directly not from opening an Oddly-Shaped Stomach from Legion Gutting.

I do not know if it was a coincidence, but I have skinned at least 2000 pantharas with no luck, until I went to Dalaran, learned Tecnica di Scuoiatura: Squartamento di Legion , and I got the pet after 10 minutes ....

My character has rank 0 Fiendish Leather. As a matter of fact, I was grinding for the Fiendish Leather trait. And instead this larva dropped for me.

So to sum it up, you don't need any ranks in 'Fiendish Leather' in order to have this creature drop. However, it is a long grind, and having the ranks gives you better drops. As such, it is probably worth it to *get* those skills (and most likely they will drop in your grind anyway).

1400 skins and no pet. Rank 3 fiendish leather and I got the pet after 88 skins was my experience

3444 fiendish leathers and I got my larva. Farmed the Dustcloak Alphas and Pantharas, used a DK and just gripped, killed, (grip resets) and repeat until u have a huge pile, skin and repeat. I had rank 3 Fiendish Leather skinning, and it was roughly 1200 attempts.

I can confirm you dont need any rank to loot this. Fiendish Leather is still in my Unlearned skinning techniques. Was extremely lucky and got it on my 10th skin.

NEAR HOPES LANDING I got this in Antoran Wastes, the doggie in front of Mother Rosula summoning pool. Felfire Armory? 65, 23 is the entrance I think. I've been fishing in Hope's Landing for the mount Pond Nettle (16,000+ casts so far, so yeah, not lucky), and then daily running up to Doomcaster for toy and into cave to get imp meat x 100 to summon Mother Rosula for the pet Rebellious Imp. Was surprised to see the Fossorial Bile Larva drop - Rarity says 484 attempts. Hope this helps someone.
Edit: Legion skinning 100/100 and 2 stars for Fiendish Leather. Level 60 skinning alt.

Thank you, Androktasiai, for adding that these still drop from the Duskcloak Panthera because Wowhead doesn't have them as a mob that you can skin to have this pet drop. They have Springstep Marsuul as the only mob that you can skin and have the pet drop from. I tried farming the Springstep Marsuul and it's not a good farm. They are few and far between, mixed in with several aggro'able mobs. You can one-shot the other mobs, but what a PITA it is! I'm going back to the Duskcloak Panthera and I'll update if I get the pet from one of them. Thx again for the info :)

Update: I farmed the Duskcloak Panthera and I can confirm that the pet does still drop from these mobs. I farmed 2 pets just to see whether it was possible and my results are inconclusive. The first pet dropped after 550 skins and when I got up to 850 skins (1,400 skins total) and no second pet had dropped, I had a friend come and take the first pet from me that I looted. After I did this, the second pet dropped for me within 25 skins, so I'm not sure whether this indicates that in order to loot a second pet you have to have none in your pet journal or it was just sheer coincidence that a second pet dropped for me shortly after I traded the first one out of my pet journal.
Regardless, this is a good farm for other mats. I looted several Oddly-Shaped Stomachs, which contained other Legion mats (gems, cloth, enchanting mats, ore, etc.). In addition, I looted almost 4,000 fiendish leather. I didn't keep track of the specific numbers, but I also looted a bunch of Unbroken Claws, Unbroken Teeth, Lean Shank and Primal Sargerite.

I timed myself and this isn't all that bad of a farm. On average I was able to skin ~100 mobs every 12 minutes with no special skinning skills, but I was maxed in Legion skinning going into this. If my first RNG of 550 skins is more accurate than the second one of almost 900, then it would generally take about one hour to farm up one pet. GL and hope this helps :)

I got it at 1146th attempt from Manafeeder Panthara. First I started farming Springstep Marsuuls as wowhead says but I don't find many of those around so I started to run over all map and started to kill all beastish demons. Rarity counted all. After a while(probably 200+) I realized Manafeeder Pantharas respawn very fast and started farm them only. As a 70 druid, I killed and skinned them very quickly, but there were still tons of them. After 2 hours I got it.

I was lucky enough for it to drop by killing Antoran Hounds - 831 kills/skins in total.

I was farming the for Rank 3 Fiendish Leather, however the Corrupted Tooth did not drop. Will continue killing hounds and panthara in the following areas:

Antoran Hounds in Erendath /way #882 58.8 15.4 Antoran Hound

and the Duskcloak Panthara in the Petrified Forest /way #830 69.0 71.6 Duskcloak Panthara

Just got this today after 1589 attempts farming the Duskcloak Alpha and Duskcloak Panthara around the Petrified Forest area of Krokuun.

Got Legion skinning with the quick initial quest before. Rank 0 Fiendish Leather, dont know if that would have made the grind shorter
