Well, time to get gearing up, or saving up. Another mount you have to get before expansion's end, completing the raid on HC or better.

A pain for some, but also an incentive to get into more serious raiding for many. So overall, not a bad decision from Blizz. And it's nice to see they've noticed how much people desire this mount.

Ever since I saw this mount the first time I felt sad that it was not obtainable. Now finally it will be! In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful birds in the game!

This mount is a reward for completing the quest Il sangue di un Titano by looting Sangue del Distruttore from Argus il Distruttore on Heroic difficulty or higher, which is part of the 7.3 patch; more specifically, patch 7.3.5 which is when Antorus, the Burning Throne is released.

So this mount is probably the exact same situation as the Grove Warden which was attained by players from Archimonde Heroic.
Its very clear that the next expansion will be focused on the old gods, titans and jaina.

As a raider who mainly only focuses on heroic this makes me happy, I like that they do the mythic mounts (although I personally think it should be rewarded for the achievement rather than a drop for one person) but it is nice that I will be able to obtain this without having to do mythic content.

For those who are worried about not being able to get this because it is gated behind Heroic Argus, keep in mind that there will be groups of people offering this as a free service.
During WoD it was #FriendshipMoose, this time around it'll be something like #FriendshipRaven.
I was proud to be a booster last time around (in spite of my just average raiding skills) and we got 6 people their moose in one run!

The service will likely be offered 4 or 5 months after the raid comes out, so look for it in May of 2018.

If you can't get in because the spots are limited or too few groups are offering it, you will also be able to buy a Heroic Argus kill from guilds trying to build a war chest for the next expansion.
Last time around those went for about 30K a Heroic Archimonde kill, so expect a significantly higher amount (I'm thinking you'll still be able to find it for 100K or less) for this mount.

EDIT - I just ran Antorus in Normal Mode, and Argus is not very challenging (a lot easier than Kil'jaeden or Archimonde at launch). People running Heroic are saying the same thing.
This probably means the gold boosts will be offered earlier, will be available pretty widely, and as a result might become cheaper sooner rather than later.

Spent 6 Hours on Heroic Argus. One wipe after another. At the end of all that, You're hands will be shaking, You're heart will beat faster than the speed of light and you're head starts to hurt after all that focusing
