To start the questline, the quest item "Spoiled Sample" drops from the Challenger’s Bounty chest. This is the Class Hall chest where you loot Mythic items after completing your weekly Mythic+ dungeons.

The quest sends you to the Blacksmith building in Dalaran (located next to the Obliterium forge). Talk to Arcanomancer Vridiel. He will then give you the quest: Unsettled Power -- which requires Writhing Essence x 50 (from The Nighhold raid). The reward is: Stabilized Titan Essence. -- Source video

Will this be a 100% drop from the chest? Or do i have to hope for it every week and get left behind because RNG isn't on my side?

Is this item not available this week? I opened my Grande Challengers Bounty chest and this was not in it. I've only opened 1 of my chests so far, but came here to see if I was doing something wrong before I opened the ones on my other characters.

For those wondering why you don't have your spoiled sample yet, it is because there will be no upgrading legendaries from 940 to 970 till after the raid has been released on the 20th June. It is highly likely you'll find your spoiled sample in the chest on the 21st of June after the reset and Tomb of Sagres has been released.

Ok now the 20th is here you can go straight to The blacksmith in Dalaran to pick up the quest Potere fuori controllo, which will require 50x Essenza Inquieta for Essenza Titanica Stabilizzata.

It also seems like if you haven't accepted the quest the spoiled sample will drop from sources where you can get the Essenza Inquieta

The spoiled sample is included to help guide people to the blacksmith but is optional. (Getting the spoiled sample first should still give you the Essenza Inquieta you would have gotten if you took the blacksmith quest first)

People are saying that this questline is required to start the Unsettled Power quest for 50 writing essences to upgrade your legendary.

That seems to be incorrect as our blacksmith buddy will offer you the quest before you even complete this one.

This is more of a guiding quest for players to know that they can upgrade their legendaries, so you shouldnt need to worry about not getting quest if you didnt do a weekly M+ (though you should for 20 essences)

Found this today on 6/20 from completing the daily, which also oddly provided Writhing Essence x4 when turned in.

I just recieved one of these from Scrigno di Farondis from world quests.

If it was supposed to be a breadcrumb to Potere fuori controllo. It was NOT. I picked up Unsettled Power before i even got the item.

For anyone wondering where to get this, I got mine from the first boss in ToS others seem to get theirs from their m+ chest so I'm guessing those are the places to look for it.

You will get this most likely on your first emissary chest. Because from 7.2.5 legendaries will drop as ilvl 970, this gives you the ability to collect essences so you can update your existing 940 ilvl legendary items to 970

Mine is presently listed as a reward that I can get for the random Legion heroic (along with Writhing Essence).

I will also note that this is being offered on a character who does *not* have the Potere fuori controllo quest at all.

I accepted the quest, handed it in.... However, I didn't have the quest to obtain 50 Writhing Essence so I go no reward...

My Rogue is getting offered this (At the time of posting) for 1st Random Hc of the day... still can't work out from comments her WHAT Quest it is for - lots of 'where to get it', though...
