I dont have a follower type of "earthen ring protector" so does that apply to all the followers?

"Earthen Ring Protectors" are on of the Order Hall Advancements that can be researched, Tier 7 left side.

These only work with "Earthen Ring Protectors" and not "Circle of Earthcallers" or "Earthen Ring Geomancers"

To add to the confusion, the Stone Totem has a high drop rate from "Chest of Champion Equipment" even if you have not picked up the Ring of Earth Order Hall Advancement.

I don't have this advancement and like a dunce I gave most of my Champions these totems thinking they were for my Geomancers. Could be worthwhile to switch to Ring of Earth instead of switching them back out again. Does anyone know how many Earthen Ring Protectors you get from this advancement? If it's just one I'd rather pass on it.
