Awarded for Prescelto via mail, which is possible once per character.

This box is now Bind on Pickup. It used to be tradeable to any character serverwide on the specific faction, but could not be put on the AH (like Sacca Ammantata di Vuoto for Tocco del Vuoto). You can open the box with any character. The ensemble you get out of this box is determined by the class opening it (you only get the one of the armor type of your character, not all four), is soulbound and requires level 110 to activate (this was changed a couple months back). After activation, the mogs are usable for level 98+ characters because of the 7.3.5 scaling system.

mail ensemble: Set: Catene del Defunto Prescelto
plate ensemble: Set: Piastre Funerarie del Defunto Prescelto

The helm, shoulder and cloak transmogs of these ensembles can only be collected via these boxes, there is no other way and once BfA releases and Prescelto gets removed, they become unobtainable (see https://twitter.com/WarcraftDevs/status/1008845805501837316 and https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20765676886#post-5).

It seems like Blizzard Customer Support will assist you if mailed boxes generated before the BoP change are now stuck on undesirable alts by sending a copy to the original character who acquired the box, if that helps you. Nothing like this will be done for boxes generated after the change (see https://imgur.com/IbU7RPV and http://www.wowhead.com/item=143617/testament-of-the-valorous#comments:id=2574248:reply=1117047).

If i do this on a Horde character and then transfer to Alliance with the "Testament of the Valorous" box still in my inventory, will it remain there or will it be destroyed during the transfer?

When you earn the achievement, Hymdall mails you the item along with the following message:

SUBJECT: Well done!

Your efforts in wresting control of the Valarjar from Helya's grasp have not gone unnoticed. Please, accept this gift, and know that you will be forever welcome in the Halls of Valor - even after your time has passed.

Stealth hotfixed today to be Bind on Pickup.

Very odd to suddenly be changed, I now have 2 stuck on my level 1 alt.

Blizzard will not replace these. These were meant to be BoP to begin with and it was a bug that they were not. They finally fixed it so now Customer Support cannot assist.

If you were unfortunate enough to have one of these sitting in your mailbox and didn't claim it before the patch hit today, you will be saddened to find that it is now a 1 copper grey item :(
