A causa di un problema, questo oggetto non migliorava il leggendario scelto fino al livello 940 ma veniva comunque consumato nel processo. Il problema è stato risolto e l’Essenza adesso dovrebbe funzionare correttamente.

Se prima del fix avete ricevuto un’Essenza Titanica Distillata e l’avete utilizzata senza ricevere il miglioramento per il vostro oggetto leggendario, per favore contattate il team di assistenza in modo che sia possibile eseguire i controlli necessari.

For anyone wondering on how we'll be able to get this:

This item is a quest reward from Il tocco del Titano.

The quest's goal is to "Acquire 50 Remnants of Aman'thul", and it's noted that "that Titan's power now dwells within the inhabitants of the Nighthold".

From this, I believe that this item is acquired by collecting "fragments" of it, by killing bosses within the Nighthold.

(tl;dr nighthold bosses drop parts to make these)

If they are going to have upgrades like this, then should new legendaries really drop at 940?
I don't think so... it sort of punishes those who got their best legendaries before Nighthold opens as they'll be heavily gated in upgrading them.

How long will the quest take to get these?
A month? Two?

If I understand this right, the idea is pretty flawed.

Got your legendary from cracking nuts before Nighthold released? Here's a long quest chain to max out your legendary.

Got your legendary from cracking nuts AFTER Nighthold released? Ok, here's your 940...

The logic is lost on me...

Use: Infuse a Legion Legendary item with greater power, up to item level 940.

look like we need more that 1 for this item to upgrade legion legendary till it cap ilvl 940.

if we need 1 this item for 10 ilvl then we will need 4 this item to upgrade till it cap to ilvl 940

but wait how if 1 this item only up for 1 ilvl upgrade legion legendary? lol that will be hard time to complete that

For it being repeatable, how many ilvl does it give, for those with 2 or more legendaries would you have to upgrade each one, and what is the estimated drop rate of the Remnants of Aman'thul?

Since the release of Patch 7.1.5, we've received a number of questions relating to the Nighthold Legendary item upgrades and how that process will work. We'd like to provide some clarity on what you can expect next week.

When the Nighthold opens next week, players who have acquired at least one Legion Legendary item will find a quest in Dalaran to upgrade a Legendary from item level 910 to 940. This quest involves collecting a number of
Essence of Aman'ThulEssence of Aman'Thul, which can be found in the following locations:

Nighthold Raid Bosses
Weekly Mythic Keystone Cache
Emissary Bags
PvP Weekly Quests

Once you have completed the quest, you'll be given a Distilled Titan EssenceDistilled Titan Essence, which can be consumed to upgrade a Legion Legendary item to level 940. The quest is repeatable, so you'll be able to earn as many Distilled Titan Essences as you need to upgrade any Legendaries you have.

Additionally, once the Nighthold is open, any new Legendaries you discover will already be item level 940. Note that this does not apply retroactively to Emissary Bags that you may already have in your inventory when the time comes. Only new bags earned after the Nighthold is open have the chance to reward an item level 940 Legendary.

Starting January 17, 2016 (January 18th for EU) with the release of Nighthold, these are obtained with the following quantities inside applicable sources to upgrade Legendary items obtained since Legion launch to ilvl 910 to 940. It is possible to upgrade a legendary within a week.

Once you complete the Il tocco del Titano quest once located at the Blacksmith building in Dalaran, the quest is immediately repeatable (Extra essences that bring you over 50 are not retained).

I have included suspected possible tiers and will assimilate them if the values are equal.

Nighthold Bosses - Bosses are loot locked, meaning you get essences from each unique boss each week

All difficulties - 1-3

Emissary Bags -

World Quest - 2 to 4

Mythic+ Weekly Cache -

2+ - 15

PvP Weekly Quests (10 wins in 2s, 3s or 3 wins in RBG)

2s - 5
3s - 5
RBGs - 5

I have received 7 of the Essences of Aman'Thul from doing Emissary Quests. I haven't set foot in Nighthold yet.

WARNING: Any Essence of Aman'Thul above 50 is currently lost on quest turn-in.

In addition, Essence of Aman'Thul as Quest Items are also lost entirely on Faction Change and then cannot be restored by Blizzard GMs.

This will upgrade any legendary instantly to 940. Tooltip was a bit weird in suggesting maybe you had to collect more than one but as I just used it on live, it is one essence recieved per legendary to upgrade them.

Can I keep this item in my bag to upgrade a legendary item in the future which I badly want but don't have yet? Because i don't want to upgrade my Holy legendary as i am planning to play Discipline.

and as the Nighthold is open and legendary items dropping with 940 ilevel what are we suppose to do with Distilled Titan Essence (Essenza Titanica Distillata) I am wondering if Blizzard is planning to use them like an alternative to Obliterium to upgrade other crafted gears

So if you're like me and either all your legendaries are 940 or haven't even had one drop and thus any that do will already be 940, and you're wondering what to do with these.

I don't know, to be honest. They could scale everything up and have the new legendary ilvl be something like 970 and allow these items to move up to that level, or like someone else suggested make them usable on crafted gear.

Asked a game master if it had any use if my legendary items were all upgraded and this is the reply:

I understand you have concerns about the quest 'Touch of a Titan' and your Legendaries.

That quest is only intended to allow for upgrading Legendary items from 910 to 940. Only the Legendaries that drop before 7.1.5 are 910, so any future Legendaries you gain should all be 940.

As you've upgraded all your Legendaries you previously had before 7.1.5 to 940 now, that quest is no longer needed you can abandon it as there's no gain you can get from completing again.

Guys. Good news for those with Legendaries from before Nighthold. I used one essence on a 910 legendary and it upgraded all the way to 940. I assumed it didn't do so considering it says "Up to ilvl 940" I am glad I used it ^w^

For 3 of my legendaries I used 3 essences to upgrade to 940. Hopefully there is some sort of reason to continue to collect these? I've got 3 more now with nothing to use them on. It would be nice at the very least if you could sell them for 1k each, or even better, give a person a million AP. I put in a ticket to ask if there will be a use for them in the future, I'll update this when I get an answer.

This item can be obtained an infinite amount of times. You will obviously need to acquire 50 essences every time, though.
I already have 4 of these, and used two on my 910 legendaries.

I'm not sure what's the point in hoarding these, but better safe than sorry (plus I like orange text).

We are aware of an issue with this item that caused it to get consumed without upgrading the legendary item to 940. The issue was fixed already and the item should work properly now.

If you got a Essenza Titanica Distillata before this fix and used it without getting the upgrade on your legendary item, please contact our customer support team so they can look into it.

As of patch 7.2.5, Distilled Titan Essences are no longer able to be used.
The description of the item now says "The destruction of the Nightwell has spoiled the carefully constructed elixir."
The sell price is 10 gold.

I know that this item is basically useless now cuz upgrading legendary to 970, but i just kinda wish they kept it an orange item if people still had it :P
