I got this from a Cassa del Kirin Tor. It was the 20th Emissary Quest I've done recently, the second one for the Kirin Tor. I assume it's either a small chance to get this from any Emissary Quest or maybe a moderate chance of getting it from the Kirin Tor ones.
Leads to Nemici ovunque which rewards the pet Globo della Saggezza Incredibile.

Got mine on my first Kirin Tor chest, but given guild members' accounts this item seems to be around a 1% drop. Not entirely sure on that, though.

More of Blizz ridiculous rng. Been doing Kirin Tor Emissary on multiple chars every time they come up since launch, and have yet to receive this.

I have been running the Kin Tor quests on 9 toons everytime it comes up and still have not gotten this. WTH bizzard!

Finally received one after 84 Kirin Tor Emissary caches.

A month later, a 2nd Strange Humming Crystal dropped... Shame it can't be shared, traded, or put into a cage. lol

This has never dropped for me. I have no idea how many chests I have opened. Does rep play a factor? Do I need to be exalted with The Kirin Tor? Or just bad luck with the RNG?

Completed Kirin Tor Emissary. No Crystal. I shall post a comment every time Emissary comes up for Kirin Tor until the damn thing drops. I lost track of how many times I have done these Emissary Quests for the Kirin Tor so not sure what number this is. I'll just say this was attempt 51.

I got quest on class trail character. When complete emissary quest you can delete your character and make new untill get quest. I tell this why we have limit for class trail accounts.

For what it's worth: 342 attempts with more or less 20 toons (I think I started with... 18?) once I gritted my teeth and decided to go for it.

For those curious, it is possible to get a second Cristallo Ronzante Strano in your Kirin Tor Emissary cache (after you have already obtained the pet), which grants a second Globo della Saggezza Incredibile. Why you would want two of these non-combat pets, I don't know =)

four years ago Legion launched
initially I did the Kirin Tor emissary only on my main every time it popped up
by now I do it on multiple characters, sometimes 25 different ones (how did I end up with so many alts?)
I have still yet to see this bloody thing drop

I just ran 27 characters, back to back. Taking 10 minutes each. No pet. I have never seen it. This is ridiculous. I ran this in all 12 of my 110s during Legion every time it was up, and never got it. This has to be one of the rarest pets in the game.

Every serious pet collector in the game knows that eventually you will reach that point where you've gotten all of the pets over which you have some control in obtaining (until the next expansion or patch). And that's when the grindfests begin where you're camping rares every day, forever partially running dungeons and doing dailies, multi-tooning the emissary quests like this one and on an on. Sometimes you go for weeks (or more) without adding a pet to the collection. You wonder if you'll ever "catch 'em all". Then when you least expect it, one drops (of course not this one for me, but others) and you have renewed hope that somehow those others will drop too. And so you persevere. Because that's what we obsessed pet collecting fanatics do, we persevere. We're not crazy. Are we?

Just got this today (354 chests) and wanted to share my experience:

I stacked 200 Kirin Tor chests across 28 characters. Opened all of them at the same time in early April 2021. NOTHING.

I stacked another 172 Kirin Tor chests and wanted to open them at the same time before patch 9.1. Opened all of them again and got 2 humming crystal quests in a row across 2 consecutive characters (Kirin Tor chest #354 on rogue alt and #358 on priest alt). Confirmed that it does fly with you now.

The drop rate is very low. I spent ~50 hours total on this grind, a set of 3 WQ takes around 5-10 minutes due to travel time. And why would they remove the ability to trade this pet? Not too sure what to do with the other humming crystal - I'm hoping that if I leave it on the alt, maybe they'll reverse their decision someday and make it tradable again.

Prepare yourself for one of the absolute WORST farms in the game. Worse than any mount farm I've done so far since Legion. If you decide to go for this pet, know this: RIDICULOUSLY LOW RNG. Totally broken and annoying Kirin Tor quests that will have you pulling your hair out every time the game just randomly causes you to overshoot or short a magic ball or platform. You'll be simply wasting time in ley races that are often broken as well and are nothing but time sinks. Some days will be good, with easy WQ's up that you can just breeze thru like the cube or item found quest, and some days will be bad with nothing but Ley Races and slow falling to magic balls. Lol. And on top of that, you don't even get a Kirin Tor reputation cache!

Absolutely the worst farm, so prepare yourself. I've been doing this since Legion every single time the emissary pops. Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor.

It's taken in excess of 500 Attempts, since Legion (granted slacking off through the next expansions), but it finally appeared for me today.

I didn't actually get the Strange Humming Crystal, as much as i opened the box... it had the SHC inside, but when looted, it auto accepted the quest and dissappeared.

I don't think I had any add-ons that would have done that... but it is what it is... I'm happy.

So far I've attempted to get this silly Khadger talking head, 146ish times.
(I say ish because I didn't have Rarity tracking my attempts through Legion and most of the way through BFA...)

Well, I'm of to finish this round of Kirin Tor Emissaries.

PS I hope that anyone who tries to get this pet isn't as Unlucky as I am!

I confirm this still drops in January 2024. It finally dropped for me today after about 100 tries. Don't give up!
