This item converts one of your Withered Exiles into a Withered Spellseer. This Withered has greatly increased health, and will allow you to see hidden treasure chests. Whilst you have this Withered, you may find additional treasure chests around the ruins. These treasure chests stand out by the fact that they appear ghostly, with such an aura permeating the air around them.

Do you only get to reveal 1 hidden chest per attempt? I could only find the artifact power hidden chest between the elfbreaker and final spider boss. The +damage and +health in the middle and start ccircle rooms were not appearing.

Any idea how to get this item?
I have run around 10 withered army training with 750+ points,
have all available upgrades (+25% damage, hp , 2 berserk, 2 mages, fearless mobs, better aiming.... but this one) .

Still no idea where i can get this, i have no big or medium chests left, expect the big one at the end.More informations about this item would be appreciated thanks !

After many runs....I have seens NO ghostly chest....and yes my spellseers survived...even I finsihed the whole run with them surviving from the begenning to the end...not a single spectral chest :/

I'm not really sure if this item does anything. I do the withered training on three toons, every time it pops up. Two toons have maxed everything out from within the run. My third toon is just starting to collect the chests. On all toons, I've seen the small chests (the free ones that do not require you to pay in withered) lying about, which you can loot for gold (mainly) and sometimes a blood or a town portal spell. They appear on the toons where I've looted the lenses, and they appear on the toon that hasn't. (And they appeared before I looted the lenses, too.) On a full clear, I usually get 8 to 10 (I've never really counted). But I seem to get about the same number on the toon without the lenses. I do know that if you stay in there long enough, chests will appear in places you've already been. I've looted a chest from the same spot 3 different times on one run (near the first staircase on the left when you're going in). It was there on my way....it was there on my way out...and it was there when I went down the opposite side to clear the mobs I usually skip (had reappeared once I came back up the stairs).

Anyway, maybe I'm getting one or two extra boxes with the lenses than without. I can't simply take them off and see if a box vanishes. I really wanted them to reveal more major boxes -- the ones you have to trade in your withered for -- thereby gaining some extra bonuses. There's also some closed areas that I'm hoping they open at some point in the future, as they could definitely add more to this encounter.

Ever since I got this item, the number of medium and large chest spawns was dramatically reduced. It seems that this item REPLACES large chest spawns with small chest spawns, which is counterproductive. I do not recommend using this item!
