I have to say, the droprate on this item is bloody hideous, I've gone way past 20k Stormscale, not a single drop as of yet, my count of Stonehide leather is in the 35k, still not that one either.... I hate this kind of RNG

At the very least you end up with a substantial amount of Unbroken Claw and Unbroken Tooth if you learned those skinning skills, Blood of Sargeras and Obliterum if you craft with the leather by the time you finish.

Edit: Sorry for the late update, but from finally getting them all and also with the help of a random Youtube video I stumbled upon, I unfortunatly forgot the name of the uploader so I'm not able to give him much of the credit, I learnt that chainfarming a single zone does not work, it rolls a random zone each rank per char, so if your rank 2 dropped in Val'Sarah your rank 3 might drop in Stormheim or any other Broken Isles zone, but also Val'Sarah again.

This same "randomroll" also counts for alts, even if you got your rank 2 and 3 in Suramar and Stormheim on char X, char Y might have different zones.

So my advice is run around skinning in a zone for about 15-20min, swap zone and keep going like that and you should eventually get it.
I got my rank 3 Stormscale after flying to Stormheim and killing 2 mobs after all the grinding I had already put in, and my rank 3 Stonehide Leather from Suramar after about 10minutes.

I got Felhide skinning 3 before stormscale or stonehide 3. Doesn't seem right.

I looted this from the Seascale Basilisk in Highmountain.

Basilisco Scagliamarina#skinning

I wonder if Highmountain might be a good place for other skinners to seek this since the Immaculate Stonehide is also said to be skinned from the bears near the Nesingwary Retreat. I was thinking about it, and some important quests and learning for skinning happen here, so it might make sense for the rank ups for things to drop more often in this zone.

Elettroscaglia Immacolata dropped this morning from the Crocolisco Scagliamarina in Riva Dispersa. I only killed 200-300 so this seems quite fortunate considering other comments regarding the drop rate. It drops on the kill, not from skinning the mob.

Visit Skinner Trainer Kondal Caccia Grossa in Legion Dalaran. Fly to Ske'rit in Suramar (31,33) and complete Scaglie per Ske'rit. He will give you two more quests:
1. Ritorno a Karazhan: Scaglie leggendarie: Skin these mobs from past raids:

Netherspite from Karazhan
Sartharion from Obsidian Sanctum
Garalon from Heart of Fear

2. Occhio di Azshara: Le scaglie di Serpentrix: Clear Eye of Azshara and skin Serpentrix. Note: Serpentrix drops his scale; the three legacy bosses need to be skinned to get their scale.

Turn these in back at Ske'rit in Suramar, get the final quest, and head back to Kondal Caccia Grossa in Dalaran for your Stormscale, Rank 3.

I got this skinning crabs at the non instanced version of Eye of Azshara. There's loads of them around.

This wasn't too bad for me. I have 543 Stormscale I didn't have before I started. Mine dropped from the 3rd Broken Shore croc I killed. I found the crabs in Eye of Azshara much easier to farm as they are in groups, but... no drop so I moved on.

For anyone still after this (maybe due to new profession achievements), I believe the droprate is much higher on elite mobs; I farmed around 1500 stormscale from seascale crocolisk with no luck, then I went into normal eye of azshara and got it in the first run (the groups of seaspray crab are really easy to farm). I feel bad for people farming over 10K stormscale on normal mobs.

Oh and if you go into eye of azshara, kill the first boss, go right, kill king deepbeard but leave serpentix and the last boss up so you can go back in there on the next quest.

I strongly recommend this comment . It´s 4-5 times faster than any other spot i´ve tried, you just need an underwater mount and a potion of water breathing.

I didn't believe it would work. This is March 2024, months after the new professions achievements came out. I dutifully farmed the Seascale Crocolisks as the droprate indicated, and yes, it did take me 1100 stormscale skins to get it, but get it I did. So if you're here because of the new achievements, yes, it can and does drop from Seascale Crocolisks in Southwest Broken Shore.

If youre here cause of the new skinning achievements like me...
Tried to skin Crocolisco Scagliamarina on Broken Shore. Gave up after 700 Elettroscaglia .
Went to Eye of Azshara Dungeon on mythic cause of elite NPC. Skinned only Scorzaguscio Errante at entrance of the dungeon. Go out, reset, repeat.
Got Elettroscaglia Immacolata on my second run after 151 more Elettroscaglia .
Maybe just rng, idk, good luck for you :)
