Fished in open waters and pools of Val'Sharah

I fished in open water at Lorlathil and was mostly getting Silver Mackerel and a few Mossgill. Then a fishing hole of Mossgill popped up! I fished in it and fished up Terrorfin, it gave me achievement A Cast Above the Rest and a fishing boost for 2 minutes.

For those looking for a good amount of these, for cooking or for farming the rares, the best spot I've found so far is all around Ashamane's Fall (Val'Sharah, 74,38).

A massive quantity of pools spawns all around the island, and by the time you go around to fish up all the pools, more will have respawned.

The Banco di Persici Branchiaverde tend to be spread out and not so convenient in Val'sharah.

Probably the best concentration of pools is in Shala'nir to the south of the Boschetto Cuortetro dungeon entrance. They are not ideal due to hostile NPCs in the vicinity but one of the better options available.

Starting in the top pool (60,43) in the Oakheart area, there are three schools. There are a few Guardingo Pungiterrore which can be avoided depending on the pool spawn locations but better to clear them first to avoid being interrupted using a lure etc.

Then move down the path to the north to another pond (59,37) with another three schools, this time with no hostile NPCs adjacent to them if you avoid the edges. One of the possible school locations to the southwest corner is unfishable due to shallow water.

Finally, the is a pond to the south east (61,34) from the last pond with two school spawns spots. Once fished out return to the first pond where the pools will have respawned and repeat (there is a path to the east via the village down to the middle pond).

Some form of waterwalking or a Zattera da Pesca dei Lancialenza will help here generally. As will some form of stealth to move between the ponds.
