Although infamous for wasting bag space, mystery meat actually does have it's uses. One of them is for making Dragonbreath Chili (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=12217). Not only is it a fairly easy recipe to make, but it also appears very intimidating in pvp (although the damage which it causes is insignificant). If nothing else, the chili sells for a decent amount of gold on the AH.

Other uses for mystery meat are:

Both of which raise stamina and spirit for 15 minutes.

I found that this meat leveled my cooking up from 175 to 224, using mainly Carrion Surprise. Very easily found and extremely cheap in the AH. I bought about 10 for 40s. This stuff is great for easily cooking leveling and can easily make some money with Dragonbreath Chili.

You can buy this from a vendor in Howling Fjord now if you are looking to level cooking on a DK or other character on Horde side. Anton walks the road near New Agamand and sells it for 3 silver (might go down with rep) each. You can get quite a few skill ups in cooking using this for Carrion Surprise and saves farming and spending high prices (at least on my server) for skill up meat on the AH.

You can take your cooking from 175 to 255!

The meat costs 3s15c and you can sell the food you make back to the vender for 3s. So there's like no loss of gold!

Actually, Broxigar Saurfang, Brother of the famous Varok Saurfang, Was drinking some tea atop of a hill of demons, when Sargeras came and wanted to kill Brox.
What happened next was painfull for Sargeras 'cause Brox used a skill that all the members of the Saurfang family has, more commonly referred to als cleave and with that, he cutted sargeras in million's of billions pieces wich he threw over all of azeroth via the maelstrom.

It is currently unknown where all those pieces are

If you, for instance, kill a Vulture, and then loot meat from it, presumably cut from it's flesh, how is it a mystery? Did you cut the meat off with your eyes closed?
