Think we will see Teron Gorefiend in WoD before he became the first Death Knight . He was a member of Gul'dan's clan and in this expansion his clan is the only one who drank the demon '' kool aid '' so that might explain the item's name .

According to wowpedia, the lore behind the Teron'gor (also known as Teron Gorefiend) is quite interesting; actually he was the first Death Knight who ever walked on the face of Azeroth.

"Teron'gor is an orc warlock. In life, he was a servant of Gul'dan (one of Gul'dan's acolytes) and a member of the Shadow Council. In the main timeline he changed his name to Teron Gorefiend upon becoming a death knight. He became the first of the necromantic terrors that became known as death knights — the warriors promised by Gul'dan to appease Orgrim Doomhammer and combat the human mages' powerful magic."

Also, not to forget that Cho'gall, Teron'gor, and Gul'dan were captured by the Iron Horde and used to power the Dark Portal in Tanaan Jungle. Adventurers freed them in order to destroy the portal and stop the Iron Horde's invasion of Azeroth.

I assume that in the upcoming expansion (Warlords of Draenor) adventurers (we players?) will be rescuing the Teron'gor from the hands of the mighty Iron Horde.

Though, it's just a guess...

a neat idea (and something i was thinking about back before MoP released its legendary quest info) was to have a separate legendary weapon quest for each class (EQ style), or even each spec and released all at the same time, and progressed throughout the expansion/patches. would be cool to see each class represented with a unique look (and questline/lore) to them only and there specific abilities, especially by the end of the era (lots of flash and style :)

Later, Gul'dan sends Teron'gor to Auchindoun to infiltrate the Auchenai and "bleed them dry."

You have to look around and manually loot a puddle of blueish blood on the floor. If you forget to do this, it won't get mailed to you like every piece of junk that you forget to loot does.

Customer support won't mail it to you either as they did for missed drop items in the Pandaria quest line so if you've manually queued for just this dungeon then you'll have to wait a day to try again. I've confirmed this with a GM. It's unfortunate as it's easy to miss when you're caught up in the excitement of progressing on the legendary quest and you see the name appear in the loot chat as someone else gets it.

Just a day's delay though! Live and learn for the future drops! :)

If you find that you are unable to loot this it might be because you are stuck in combat. If you have an ability like invisibility or feign death you can drop combat and loot.

I just got out from Auchindoun with Corrupted Blood of Teron'gor eventhough I was told that I was in combat.

Sighing loudly, 5 min after my initial WTF-moment, I was able to come to the conclusion that I had to die. Never thought I would use that sentence ever, but how? All mobs where dead and you can't jump of the ledge.
Unless! you run to the first boss and jump of the ledge down to the teleporter. I jumped 3 times, died, and ran straight to the teleporter to Teren'gor's platform and looted the blood and cache.

The Sangue Corrotto is a green/blue pile of nasty that appears on the final platform, after you kill Teron'gor, the last boss in Auchindoun.

This blood only appears/is lootable in Heroic or Mythic difficulty.
You must physically loot the Sangue Corrotto di Teron'gor from this "container".
