Closer to shadowmeld (the night elf racial stealth while standing still) than an actual mobile stealth, but it may be useful as a ghetto-stealth if you combine it with a gnomish cloaking device and/or an invisibility potion to get you in the neighborhood of 32ish seconds of stealth, allowing you to potentially sneak around through dungeons if there are quests in need of completion.

(barring a shared CD, that is)

This is a play off of the Sony Walkman, which allowed people to listen to their music on the go.

Edit: for those down ranking this comment, it was made before the item and the flavor text were changed. The original flavor text was worded in a way that indicated a reference to Walkman, hence my post. Since the text is changed, I don't recall or have proof of the original reference.

Despite its name, the item is more of a pocket version of Camouflage than Stealth. (Cannot be used in combat, cannot move, limited duration)

This item is perfect for PvP where you need to AFK for some time or even for a few moments. I know some people like to roam around Ganking lowbies.

Despite being able to be craft all four devices via Draenor Ingegneria:

Meccanorazzo Esplosivo and Scudo Scudotronico, can be placed into Engineering containers, such as Cassetta degli Attrezzi d'Elementio,

Kit dell'Aliante dei Goblin and NasconDinamo 54 cannot be stored in Engineering containers, and rather take up normal bag slots.

This item may not be worth it's use if you regularly use potions.

I used this to invis on a very high hill near some horde players. A feral druid went to the same hill and stealthed on top of me. I didn't move, and stood still he never saw me. I could see him stealthed and and moving but he never did anything to me as if he never saw me. I'm a monk so I used Crackled jade lightning and knocked him over the hill to his death. And we were having pvp since 2 hours, I don't think he was being friendly and not attacking me. I need someone to confirm this.

Since noone seemed to mention this, this item doesn't actually stealth your pet. Or at least it doesn't give a visible stealth buff to it. So if you're a DK or a warlock, you need to remove your pet or get it killed in order to use this effectively.

This item tends to be one of the best items for powerleveling Engineering to 600. It offers 4 skill points per and 150 Stealthman 54 (300 Blackrock Ore, 300 True Iron Ore, 300 Nagrand Arrowbloom) will get you 1-600 in less than 5 minutes.

Note: You need to learn Draenor Engineering first. You can get the Draenor Engineering recipe from either the quest item that drops off of mobs or the Ashran vendor for 100g.

Seems that if you use this in the capture area of a PVP objective you will be removed from the capturing process - I tried this in Tol Barad, ran to a tower, began capturing, used the Stealthman, and then the capture bar disappeared.

Thought I'd clarify that if you're standing still the invisibility lasts indefinitely. Once you start moving it lasts for an additional 6 seconds. Convenient for camping or AFKing without being hassled. Less useful for trying to sneak past something.

The best way to level up Engineering, it stays "orange" until ~640 (not 625, as claimed on this page) and it's cheap (~7g/4 points of Eng). After 642 the craft becomes green.

I use this for camping rare spawns like Huolon or the Confini della Realtà portal for Graffiavuoto della Stella Oscura on PvP servers, or to watch an item on the Black Market Auction House. It is quite handy in any situation where you need to AFK on a PvP server and are at risk of being attacked.

Note that it has a base cast time of 1 second to activate, but this is shortened based on the Haste your character has.

The invisibility will last indefinitely as long as you stand still. As soon as you start moving, it will grant 6 seconds more of invisibility before you become visible.

During this you move at 50% of your normal walking speed (including any run speed buffs or tertiary +Speed gear you may have).
If you use an ability or spell during those 6 seconds, it will prematurely break invisibility.
In this case "Movement" DOES NOT include turning or using /sit. Doing either of those will not break stealth or initiate the 6 second expiration.

If camping for something like a rare spawn, I advise putting yourself in a remote location, near walls/obstacles etc, and away from any mobs. Stray AoE abilities can break you out of stealth - notably Sbarramento, as the Cacciatore only needs to be facing you to hit you with it.

This is perfect for me. I often want to leave my toon somewhere for a few minutes while I take a biobreak. The toon is always dead when I get back. Using this I do not have to move the toon to a safe town before taking the biobreak, nor do I have to log out. Saves relogging time.

You know what's the worst of it all? PLAYERS FORGET TO ASK THEM QUESTIONS ABOUT CHANGES MADE TO THESE KIND OF THINGS WHEN THEY GET THE CHANCE TO.

Q/A mostly, people simply forget to put them on the wall and ask the devs why.

I think we should all make a list of items changed from past expansions and throw it all to them when we get the chance because the forums (not even theirs) seems to make it happen.
