This thing is amazing in its current state. It blasts you off at about 1400% run speed and the arc you follow is high enough to jump mountain ranges. Unfortunately, you take fall damage when you land - enough to immediately kill you. Also, it doesn't always fire in the direction you're facing, I've had it shoot me both forwards and backwards at random.

Easily the most dazzling way to make your character go splat.

OMG! I just got this off of Cinderfall and I figured I'd use it to try and get across the broken bridge by where the mob spawns... AND IT LAUNCHED ME HALFWAY TO JADE FOREST! LMAO! I almost died to fatigue trying to get back to the island! Imagine getting Soulstoned in Arathi Basin and capping BS right out of the gate lol!

For Horde players, or Alliance, if you're feeling adventurous: Fly to the top of Shrine, the top of the building, NOT the mountain behind it. Then use this item. Quite easily the fastest way to get to one's farm. Assuming you are, of course, facing due South. I landed about 5 steps from the back row of my farm.

Note: I have only tested this ONCE, and if what people have said in the past were true, that the item does not necessarily always fling you in the direction you are facing, you may end up deep in Kun-Lai.

Note #2: I suggest having some sort of immunity ability prepared before landing. Ice Block was my choice, though I'm sure others would work, as would a glider, parachute, Slow Fall or Levitate.

Lmao, when I had used this, I just about scared the %^&* out of my self. It literally flung me off the map- (~~Timeless isle~~). Luckily, landing in some nice, soft water- Err.. Metaphorically speaking.

Only DOWNFALL, I now know it could easily kill you if you were any less lucky, and of course, it can only be used 50 times.

But thats enough time for all of us to farm it again. Yet, now that I think about it, the Golden Glider is incredibly useful for a time such as "This".

Don't say they didn't warn you. They did say "far" and they MEAN far. Not just an extra 5-10 yards. I used it on timeless isle, at the broken bridge - almost the middle of the island.

it threw me over the Ordon Sanctuary, over the rest of the island, over the shallow water and so far into the fatigue zone out to sea, that I died. I was laughing so much I couldn't heal.

Seriously - take a look at the map & check how far it will throw you.

After testing it a few times, I found out that it'll launch you either forward or backward depending on which direction has a shorter distance to travel (always choosing the lesser of the two). Aim wisely~

After reading all these comments about how you can go from X to Y using this item I decided I wanted to give it a shot at the highest point I could think of: The top of Ulduar!

Being a Warlock my only option for slowfalling was using the Noggenfogger Elixir and hoping I could keep it up the entire time. Unfortunately, it ended up falling off a few times for a moment and then I finally fell to the ground after not getting the buff after 10 drinks. I ended up going all the way to the end of Wintergrasp. I bet I could of easily cleared Borean Tundra if I had 100% uptime of slowfall.

For anyone else wanting to give it a shot: You will hit the ceiling at points but don't worry. Once you clear the ceiling you will keep going at your same momentum! I just wish I was a Mage or Priest for this.

Jump off cliff and use Aliante dei Goblin first, then Fiamma Cadente.

You will be able to change direction as well as travel uber-speed.

I have been experimenting with this.

Every time I try it, it sends me the opposite direction I want to go. Usually into a wall, or some type of structure. I wish they would allow us to choose the direction.

I didn't bother checking this item out when I first looted it. I instead got the brilliant idea that I could use this to hop the gap in the bridge. Well I jumped the gap alright... and soared past Ordon Sanctuary, past the little mountainous island... and just kept right on going. Dropped me right in the middle of the ocean north of Timeless Isle and luckily I made it to shallower water just before the last tick of fatigue claimed me.
Now, what to do for the next hour before I can find something else to fling myself off of?

You can use it to get to Garnia pretty fast and landing in the water.

Go to location 38 54 (stand in the bush near the celestial world boss)
Use tom tom (i set a way point to 65 28, in the middle of the Ruby lake, this should also put an arrow for direction.) or approximate the way you need to go.
Position yourself so the arrow is looking straight up.
Use Fiamma Cadente (Drops from Calcacenere)
Land in water, no harm done.

**DON'T BE ON A MOUNT Fiamma Cadente tend to send you backwards when on a mount. At least for me**

Definitely one of the more amusing items from the Timeless Isle. It has a chance to drop from Cinderfall - the group rare located just before the broken bridge at the top of the Blazing Way.

The forth time I used it, it launched me backwards instead of forwards which was quite amusing and unexpected. Here's the video showing the first time I used it.

Its a fun item but sadly the skybox in wow is very low, so most of the time using this you will hit the "roof" of the world and it will bug out. They should increase the skybox (double it at least imo).

Also 60 min CD is a bit too high. Should be 10 min or so.

This item is Unique so if you kill Cinderfall and it drops but you already have it, you won't be able to loot it, but fear not, when you remove Cinderfalls loot window it will say that you won the item and you will recieve a message from the Postmaster with a 30 day timer to take it out.

On Monks you can use the Glifo Carbonizzato and when on the cloud you can actually mount, which I only know because I had tried it one day.

So I used the item while on the Cloud while above Orgimmar and found that it works, but not only that it's usable while on the cloud- But that when you use it you STAY mounted and don't receive fall damage.

Okay, so I decided to launch myself across the Vale. I figure, what the heck, I'm a mage, I've got Slow Fall, I'll be fine...

I stood on one of the columns at the edge of the balcony for the Alliance Shrine, aimed carefully so that I would clear any tall mountains or buildings, hit the thing...and launched up and BACKWARDS, hitting the top roof on the Shrine for a total of 572k damage in half a second flat. Or rather, half a second splat.

Alas, being a squishy mage, I had only 508k health. So with an excessive splat-speed of 64k overkill, this was a failed experiment. (If one doesn't count me gaping, then giggling.)

...Beware, for this sucker will launch you forwards OR backwards. Just sayin'.

I have a funny story with this item.

I was on the way to Ordos to kill him in a raid of about 30 peoples. I killed Cinderfal on the way and this item dropped (I didn't see it at first).

When I was standing in the archway in front of Ordos where the raids stand until everyone is ready to pull I noticed this in my bag. I didn't really take not of the item text and I just figured it would throw you straight up in the air a short distance or something (lols)

We were still waiting for a few to come to Ordos I decided to try it out. I flew straight ahead right over Ordos and way way way out in the water. I was a bit confused what happened for a second because I've never seen such a thing.

Most of the raid saw it (and my guild member in the raid whispered me and said, "you clicked the falling flame didn't you") and everyone was laughing there ass off.

Of course i ended up dying because I was so far out in the water, buy the time I spirit ran back (twice because I went so far) the group had filled, Ordos was killed and I was still running past the first bridge.

As annoying as it was I saw the humor in it and had a giggle.

Here's a fun trick: on the Timeless Isle, touch the Gleaming Crane Statue and wait until you've landed on one of the floating platforms. While you've still got your wings on, activate the Flame. You can rocket all over the island at a fixed altitude and steer while doing so! Plus, you'll still get the buff that prevents fall damage at the end.

For kicks I tried this out first atop the Temple of Storms in Storm Peaks. It launched me north and used up almost half my fatigue just landing, killing me on impact. I checked the world map, my toon was on the very very VERY northern edge of the map. I'll be trying this out on Nordrassil once it's off cooldown. I'm betting on landing in Thousand Needles.

Edit: Sadly, the curve of the shot meant I only made it to southern Ashenvale. Still, amazing for getting that rare across the isle.

1.Buy tome flap on balance druid or druid with balance affinity from Amurra Thisledew in Dreamgrove or Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade
2.Climb to the very top of Highmountain
3.Use the falling flame. Be in moonkin form already
4.Keep using flap
5.See where you end up! Might want to take off your armor since you will probably end up in a fatigue zone with little hope of reaching your corpse (:

so, today i learned when i looted this that if you use this while you have Emergency Anti-Gravity Device on, you will go very very far. i have a feeling you can easily use this to go over a few zones. i was able to completely fly over mulgore and the southern barrens in about a grand total of 50 seconds from one use. it is amazing how far this will send you. please test this and see how far you can go and how quickly

I got this randomly at some point on the Timeless Isle, and didn't know what it was. I was in Shadowlands and decided to use it and it flew me right off the edge of Ardenweld. LOL.

Fiamma Cadente works in The Maw. Combine it with Kit dell'Aliante dei Goblin or other safe-landing methods and u can fly in The Maw for like a minute every hour. It can also save you from tough situations. Beware where you aim it, avoid to fly to far off the edges.

I never figured out how to climb up the hill to get the Shoulders when they at /way 52.5 72.8 so i climbed up the hill staring at /way 50.4 75.6 to where Progentius spans jumped over the little crack using the left side of the mountain and went to the drop off then used a Goblin Glider to glide over to the shoulders.

I farm this before every expansion as you can use it in combination with a glider to fly around the new zones before flying gets unlocked.
I used War Mode to camp it and I was completely uncontested.

Tip: Use the glider before using the flame or you will waste a charge. You can travel across entire continents like this.

Qualcuno mi porti un carrello, this was the hardest achievement in Mists of Pandaria.
I got this on the last day of the expansion: 14 December in 2011.
For this achievement I've spend a total of 4 mounths playing 4 hours a day.
This achievement is hardest cause do you need loot rare items from rare mobs.
Even the rares having 30 to 60 minutes spawn the problem here is cause those rares has low hp and die fast, making you lose then.

Another factor that make this achievement hard, is because the items needed has low drop chance.
For example the Redini della Serpe delle Nubi Tonante d'Onice, this mount has 0.9% drop chance, and was my last item for conclud the achievement.
I've spend a total of 400 trys to loot this mount.

My strategy for don't lose my mind while doing this insane grind was watching one piece while the Huolon doesnt spawn.
The addon called Rare Coordinator was great to track the rare spawn times, but I guess it's doesnt work on Dragonflight, cause you need other players to tracking with you.

Don't forget to use move speed items and teleport to reach rares faster.

If you want to know if you have looted this in the past check your achievement "Going to Need a Bigger Bag" it will tell you if you have looted it before. I didn't know of this item until just recently and want an easier way to reach Garnia. I can see you can get another one once you used it up but I had no way to tell if I accidentally had it at one point but got rid of it. The acheve will tell you that.

this works in Dragonflight at the Forbidden Reach - picked up from Timewalking and didn't really expect that it would work but yet! sadly I flew into a mountain side whilst laughing so I didn't get to see how far it would take me and its on an hour cd so I will play with it more tomorrow.

I've killed this NPC 347 times and still don't have the falling flame. On the 347th kill I got, for the first time, Glowing Blue ash.

I cannot recall where I heard or read this but I think this Item did get removed around Legion.Don't qoute me and WoWhead states its still in the game but lack of drops from my own experience or seeing any recent confirmed drop from others leads me to believe that it is no longer lootable but not removed from the game. I would love to get some clarification on this.

I can confirm this item still drops in 10.1.5 . My rarity had an issue so I don't remember the number of kills but I just got the item tonight. So for those that don't have it you still can. Drop rate just stinks.

Launched from 72.9 69.1, that high peak, towards Valdrakken via
got to about 69 19 before the flames extinguished, then went to a goblin glider

you can almost make it to Neltharus, at least to the outer edge
but will need a parachute at least to prevent the splat.

I finally managed to drop this on my evoker today, to try it in combination with soar.

Maybe predictably, the falling star cannot be used during soar, and you will receive a "you are mounted" denial prompt.

I can confirm FF CAN drop if you already have one. you wont be able to loot it though until your previous one is gone so not much use in farming it until you're out of them.

This was the last item I needed for the achievement and it took me well over 500 kills for it to finally drop.
In the meantime I looted a dozen Cenere Blu Luminosa. Really wonky RNG if you ask me.

The current reset timer for Isola Senza Tempo appears to be 15-minutes. This means if the zone has been empty for that amount time, that particular shard/layer will reset the moment you reenter the zone. This can be a highly effective method for farming rares for Qualcuno mi porti un carrello, opposed to the traditional camping method of every 30-60 minutes, especially on RP servers, War Mode and Chromie Time groups.
