Also, please note:
Ominous Flame pets drop from the Foreboding Flames that spawn inside the Spirit Cave
Jadefire Spirit pets drop from the Spirit of Jadefire, which is a rare spawn in the same cave.
Jademist Dancers drop from the Jademist Dancer mobs.
And some of these mobs do pat, so try to be aware of their pathing. These markers just make running laps a little easier. :)

Any ideas on the droprate yet? I've been farming all day 16 kills so far and no pet. Considering it's such a Pain in the Rear to get to Garnia I was hoping for a relatively quick farm.

Pretty cool pet, same size as the other Pandaren Elemental pets Timeless Isle Guide. Just a Ruby Red color, same noises and actions as the other ones to. But it is by in large the hardest of the Patch 5.4 Elemental pets to get just due to the pain of getting to Garnia. Recommend that you buy some sort of glider ( Golden Glider sold on the island, or for engineers Goblin Glider) and swim out until your able to hop on a flying mount. Fly up then towards the island just make sure your fairly high before you start dropping once dismounted and falling use the glider and do circles above the lake until landed. This is a simple way to pretty much get anywhere on the island faster then taking a Highwind Albatross.

The droprate seems really low, lower than the 4% (or I'm really unlucky). 63 kills so far and no pet.

Always love checking drop rates and finding that no its not a 100% drop I just got really lucky on my first kill of Garnia.

Wow this was the most annoying farming I've ever done in WoW. I'm reporting because there's some inaccurate information below. I finally got my ruby droplet after 70 kills and 3 week ends of dedicated farming. Two other people farming with me are in the 50 kill range and no pet. So 1) there is NOT a drop limit to one chance a day and 2) I really question the 3% drop rate. And yes, I do understand RNGs. One drop out of almost 200 tries is a fairly good sample size to say it's probably not 1 in 30.

First time i killed it, it droped the pet. In the same day it happened with a rare mob...he droped a Burden of eternety, guess im on a lucky day :D

Finaly, after 51 kill it drop. Was doing hardcore farming for it and what i notice was that after i kill Garnia i logg off and waitet for 35 - 40 min to logg on again (dident wanne fly up everytime). Somtime i had to wait 10 - 15 min before he spawn. When i kild it, i did the same thing, logging off and waitet for 35 - 40 min before logging on again. Manage to kill it 17 times in one day doing this. Good luck to those of you farming for this pet.

Drop rate is so low it's inspired me to start using the wowhead app to upload my failure rate. Had my shaman camped up there for weeks (maybe months) and log over and check every 30 mins (work from home) so usually kill it at least 6 times day. Plus my main has got him a few times while hunting the moth pets.

way more than 50+ kills and still no pet! Grrr......I started farming before WoD and I've been working from home the past 2 days so I sat my character all day for both days killing her every single time and no pet. Rarity says 51 kills.. but I at least killed her 20 times before I got the addon... ><

I got this ages ago on my first attempt, not knowing it was quite rare. I've come back to it now and im wondering if it will sell for a bit. Anyone know if people will buy this pet for a good price?

been farming this for the past 2 weeks.. must have killed him 50+ times... still no pet! definitely not 3% drop chance!

Pet just dropped for me tonight.

The reason I'm posting is because I've heard/read much rumor and speculation that the pet might only drop on the first kill of any given day, or 24 hour period. Since I couldn't find any data to back up the rumor, I decided to camp it for a few days with a toon left up at the lake. Logging on to that toon every half hour to wait for the spawn.

Started camping in the afternoon today. Several kills later (estimated between 10-15) and the pet finally dropped. It's before midnight (both my time as well as server time) so the drop rate wouldn't have reset by any of the standards rumored (midnight server, dailies reset, 24 hour period, or player time zone midnight).

TL;DR version: Drop is not tied to first kill of the day. Keep at it. =)

Somewhat related thing to this rare:

To get to her fast, without using the albatross mail or fatigue method, touch the Gleaming Crane Statue at 58.6, 60. It will toss you high up in the air. Once there and wings have sprouted from your character's back, use Goblin Glider or Golden Glider, which is sold right on the Timeless Isle.

It would easily get you to the lake where Garnia spawns.
Small note: cancelling the effect of statue first will make you slow-fall in spot, unmoving.

Good luck in hunting the pet, I have yet to get it drop myself

If you are trying to get the Ruby Droplet during the pre-Legion content drought, then you are up against everyone else that is bored but still playing. Most of them are back-capping content, pets, and achievements just like you.

Which means competition even if you might not realize it is there.

The best way to get her is.

1.) Strider or waterwalk out to the fatigue limit
2.) Mount on a flyer, flying rather high up and then in towards her mountain lake
3.) once you get dismounted by the no-fly zone, pop either your Goblin Glider or your Engineering cape tinker (if you want to waste your time with the Albatross method - well it is your gaming time).
4.) Garnia will either be up or she won't, so be prepared to leave that 90+ alt there for a while.
Now you could just camp her and hope for the best, but...
5.) Everyone that is serious about getting her efficiently is using Cross-Realm tech to realm-hop to find her (you will see people fade in and out while you wait). This means that you should either Custom Group Finder to manually get invited to other realms or use Addons like "Cross Realm Assist" to stream line the process.

If you used a hunter with tracking and you see that she is up, even the glider method won't get you there in time if someone realm-hops in. This will feel frustrating. (A 100 will global or two-shot her at worst).

North America has seen an recent uptick of people back on Timeless Isle, you can either optimize your method, or spend much more time trying to snag her.

I had about 12 kills in past month without using realm-hopping (because my alt was in a queue for BGs in the 90-99 bracket). Tonight I got 3 kills in under an hour with realm-hopping - and one of them got me the pet.

I'm currently at 59 kills on rarity. Just started farming this week. I'm sure I had some additional kills back in MoP.

I was very happy that this was a 3% droprate, but I must be very unlucky.

My likelihood on rarity is now 91%.

Par for the course for me, as Huolon took me 180 kills to drop the mount.

Got 1 today after about an hour or so, killed him about 13-15 times with server hopping, a little tip is drop the server hopping reset timer from 15 mins to something lower, maybe like 5-10 mins, will mean you will be jumping servers more and a higher chance at a drop. Not too many farming when I was around so it was up pretty often. Also note that if you do not get any loot do not stress, there is an hourly cap on the coins etc so if he has no loot after a kill its okay keep on going.

I spent several hours last night running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find these rare mobs/drops. So today I made myself a little guide to make my pet hunting smoother.

This is listed in order going clockwise from Huojin Landing:

Jademist Dancer - (25.5, 29.2) These drop from their big brothers and sisters. I like to clear them out and then run over to the crane nests and make a round while the Dancers are respawning.

Azure Crane Chick - (33.0, 42.5) These are looted from crane nests. They are found under trees all around the Celestial Tournament. Look for a cluster of several small chicks under trees, that's where you'll find nests.

Skywisp Moth - (Need Highwind Albatross) These are wild pets you can obtain by pet battling. Many of them are on high cliffs that are unreachable since we can't fly here. See Cielos's explanation on how to get up there.

Jadefire Spirit - (43.6, 40.7) (Cavern of Lost Spirits) These drop from the rare elite Spirit of Jadefire. He spawns randomly in different parts of the cave. The spawn time ranges from 30-60 minutes.

Ominous Flame - (43.6, 40.7) These drop from the Foreboding Flame mobs inside the cave, the same cave where the Jadefire Spirit drops.

Ashwing Moth - (East & South of Celestial Tournament) These are just normal wild pets that are caught by pet battling.

Bonkers - (58.0, 42.2) Inside the cave you will find Master Kukuru who will sell you a key for 500 Timeless Coins. Bonkers can be looted from the chests.

Flamering Moth - (Blazing Way & Timewalker Ruins) This is a wild pet that can be captured by pet battling. Seems like it's almost always a secondary pet to an Ashwing Moth or a Skywisp Moth.

Gulp Froglet - (64.0, 70.6) These drop from the rare elite Bufo. Bufo spawns approximately every 30-60 minutes. Killing the frogs in the area does absolutely nothing.

Dandelion Frolicker - (45.6, 72.9) These drop from the friendly Nice Sprites you see surrounding the trees with orange crystals on them. You "use" the purple crystals nearby to turn them into Scary Sprites so you can kill them. The purple crystals are on a spawn timer, so if you don't see them it's because they're not up yet. If you're standing near the tree, you'll see the purple crystal if it's up. (see mel9525's instructions)

Gu'chi Swarmling - (41.1, 81.2) These drop from the rare elite Gu'chi the Swarmbringer. He spawns at the south-east edge of Old Pi'jiu Village by the water then paths counter-clockwise around the village until he reaches the shore again. His spawn timer is approximately 30-60 minutes.

Skunky Alemental - (36.9, 76.5) These drop from the rare elite Zhu-Gon the Sour. Apparently he spawns with the "Skunky Brew" event that occurs every 30-60 minutes. (see defektunge's explanation)

Ashleaf Spriteling - (67.3, 44.1) These drop from the rare elite Leafmender. Follow the path from south of the Celestial Tournament all the way around to get here. He spawns under a tree at the top of the hill on the left hand side with a bunch of his little sprite friends. His spawn timer is approximately 30-60 minutes, but if he is killed and not looted it throws the timer off by about 30-45 minutes.

Ruby Droplet - (64.5, 27.1) These drop from the rare elite Garnia at the ruby lake. (see elfomal's instructions to get there) The spawn timer is approximately 30 minutes, but make sure you loot the body so it despawns otherwise it will take an extra 30 minutes.

Death Adder Hatchling - (31.0, 68.0) These drop from the rare elite Imperial Python. My understanding is that it will spawn in the place of a dead Death Adder. Focus on the south-west where they are more closely clustered together. (see Jaladar's method)

Spineclaw Crab - (28.7, 75.4) These drop from the rare elite Monstrous Spineclaw. For more information, check out Heathmonn's very detailed instructions.

Some tips:

The rare spawns usually 40-60 min.

Best way to get to it is via albatross (but You need to have some ability to not oneshot it - warlock can do a 'short' drain life to get it's attention).
Another way is to use the Gleaming Crane Statue to shot up in air and then use goblin glider.

(Got the pet after 96 kills - either unlucky or the drop is really low)

Qualcuno mi porti un carrello, this was the hardest achievement in Mists of Pandaria.
I got this on the last day of the expansion: 14 December in 2011.
For this achievement I've spend a total of 4 mounths playing 4 hours a day.
This achievement is hardest cause do you need loot rare items from rare mobs.
Even the rares having 30 to 60 minutes spawn the problem here is cause those rares has low hp and die fast, making you lose then.

Another factor that make this achievement hard, is because the items needed has low drop chance.
For example the Redini della Serpe delle Nubi Tonante d'Onice, this mount has 0.9% drop chance, and was my last item for conclud the achievement.
I've spend a total of 400 trys to loot this mount.

My strategy for don't lose my mind while doing this insane grind was watching one piece while the Huolon doesnt spawn.
The addon called Rare Coordinator was great to track the rare spawn times, but I guess it's doesnt work on Dragonflight, cause you need other players to tracking with you.

Don't forget to use move speed items and teleport to reach rares faster.

Negates pretty much every pvp strategy. Top 5 pet IMO if you pvp.

To get it - use the red ryder rifle (purchase-able in Dalaran from the toy vendor) to shoot the hawk by the columns near the landing and before the arena. Leave a 60+ char at the lake if you're camping it. Takes like 15-20m to get up there esp if you miss a couple, then its more like an hour.

Don't even attempt this in Chromie time. The rares in the zone hit like a truck.

Dunno about you but I am utterly sick to death of waiting for mobs to spawn and then NOT drop the thing that I am after, it's a frigging PET!
3% drop rate, sod off Blizzard, if you made these things100% drop rate it would still take months if not years to do all of the things in WoW that I want to do, so why the stupid drop rates for these things?
I swear if anything ever makes me quit wow it'll be the frustration of NOT getting things that I want from drops.
Ridiculous!

The current reset timer for Isola Senza Tempo appears to be 15-minutes. This means if the zone has been empty for that amount time, that particular shard/layer will reset the moment you reenter the zone. This can be a highly effective method for farming rares for Qualcuno mi porti un carrello, opposed to the traditional camping method of every 30-60 minutes, especially on RP servers, War Mode and Chromie Time groups.
