#1 they forget to tell you that this seller is SURROUNDED by Bloodsail Bucs Mages/Minions and Swashbucklers.....if you are going to attempt to get this pattern I *highly* suggest using your mount, riding up, making a quick mouse click to buy then running away.

Well my mate is a lvl 61 Human Pally, So He will simply wipe them all out and I stroll in and get the reciepe. Easist to get anything gaurded, get a high lvl mate to do it, or get some sap to distract them while you run in

This recipe is sold by the NPC "Cowardly Crosby", who can be located a 2 minute ride from Booty Bay.

Coordinates: 40.8, 82.2 - although reportedly some quests cause him to be phased out (thanks, starseeker).

Be aware, however, that the recipe is on a limited supply, so if like me you are a level 70 character after the recipe, you will probably be better off parking an alt or something close by to increase your chances of getting it.

Alternately, you could pay off a lowbie to check for you now and then, they'll do a lot of things to earn money for their mount @ level 40!

I found if you stick to the ocean side and take out the casters you encounter, you can sneak around the backside, make a quick purchase and leave the same way you dropped in. keep in about ankle deep water as you work around to the left/back side. There is a bucaneer near one of the tents you have to pull, but as a mage I found I never aggro's more than one.

However, I did rely upon the polymorph spell to handle the caster/minon combos on the beach. Had to kill maybe three sets to work around to the back side. Not really funny, but after all of the prep, Cowardly was out of stock....

This sells very well in the AH. And is easy to get if you have a character thats freindly with bloodsail. Im not sure how often he restocks but i would love to know because it would be a great way to make some quick and easy cash.

Grabbed this on my hunter easily. Not sure what level she was, but it was either the same or one higher than the pirates surrounding the vendor. I stealthed my pet (cat) and edged along the mountains 'till I could click the bag icon on the vendor that sells this.

Since then I've gotten in the habit of buying any pattern that's on a restock timer (the ones that have limited supply) in out-of-the-way areas. Worst case you waste a few silver - best case you grab a pattern that is worth 10g+ to lazy people who don't want to go get it.

Well, ya know what? I've been camped on a toon for 3 months checking for this pattern and then I see it for sale in the AH for a ridiculous amount of money - I am really sick and darned tired of white pattern campers taking this pattern when someone like me is NOT lazy and wants to get it the usual way by buying it from a vendor instead of lining the pocket of a person camping a white pattern for gods sake....I'm more than a little miffed >:(

Camped this for two hours before it appeared. I have no idea how long it was gone before I arrived. If I was to fathom a guess based on past WOW drop rates we're looking about about 3 hours. :)

Just wanted to confirm that this is still showing up in his inventory in 4.2 on the same limited supply schedule. I parked an alt there for about 4 hours today and would check in periodically. Sure enough after maybe 5 visits, there it was on page 2. Great hat!

I haven't had any trouble getting this pattern. The NPC is located on Wildshore, near a tent. I never finished the quest that has me wearing the disguise, so all the mobs are friendly to me. I just walk on up and get it.

This pattern is a great money maker. On Lightbringer, it sells for 200g. I have sold 5 so far and it seems I'm either the only one that knows it's there, or the only one that bothers to get it. They have all sold before the auction expires and has essentially paid for my DK's Flying mount (the skeleton one, the name eludes me right now)

My guess is, this item is on a longer respawn timer than 1 hour. I know for a fact that he sells this pattern, because I have bought it from him. Must have been really lucky to find it when I did.

Confirmed, still selling it as of MoP. Just picked it up at 5:08am server time, Uldaman-US.

And again, 11:40pm server time.

Will update this post with more times later, hopefully a pattern will emerge.

This pattern can be purchased from Cowardly Crosby <Tailoring Supplies>.
He is located in The Cape of Stranglethorn, south of Booty Bay

He may no longer be part of the Bloodsail faction as the tool-tip of this NPC does not indicate "Bloodsail Buccaneers". However I have not tested this theory.

The coordinates are "40.8, 82.1", according to the wowhead client addon.
Cappello da Ammiraglio can be Transmogged.

As for when this pattern is available, i have spent time closely to find the spawn rate. Using the in-game stop-watch feature, I tested this 3 times. I parked my Monk next to him. Purchased the pattern and started the stop-watch. When the pattern appeared again, I purchased it, reset the stop-watch, and started over. I checked the NPC every 5 minutes. I cannot actually say what the spawn time is because the third result was over an Hour. I was the only person sitting here for that hour.

i went to the vendor on my tailor and didn't see the recipe. My tailor is level 75, so i cant do the Zul Gurub questline. i kept trying over and over again and i couldn't get it. Is it bugged or what...?

Have been trying to farm this, since there are no recent comments I am just wondering if this pattern is still in game?

EDIT: 12/3 10:18 pm on Draka (8.0) - date and time when the pattern was finally there for me. Still not sure of a spawn timer, I just parked a toon there and just kept checking back good luck!
EDIT 2: 12/4 7:08 pm on Suramar (8.0) - date and time when I got this pattern on my main tailor.
Couple things to mention...Draka and Suramar are connected servers I just happen to have a tailor on each server not sure if that makes a difference for the spawn time so I'll just to mention it. Also, I checked back 15min later after I first got the pattern on Draka as I saw some posts saying this pattern had a 15min spawn timer and it hadn't respawned yet. Also, check right after the server restart and it still hadn't respawned yet. I was very inconsistent checking for this however, I did try to take note how often I checked and this pattern seems to have a spawn timer somewhere within 12h give or take. I never saw another person checking when I was I saw a few people on the beach, however, I think they were questing and/or farming the Bloodsail title they were nowhere near the NPC that sells the pattern they were mostly running along the beach.

Since this post hadn't been updated in a while I hope this helps anyone who wants this pattern!

Just to clarify on another comment I saw, this item is transmoggable but it is not a cosmetic item, meaning you must be a cloth wearer to learn the appearance. The spawn timer is random but it's not like Lil Timmy where it takes forever to spawn.

Either this item is no longer for sale or they havre moved the respawn timer beyond my waiting threshold. Nothing after an hour. note to blizzard : If it's not broke WHY fix it.

Purchased at 12:42 Am on Nordrasil-US after roughly an hour wait and a few toon swaps so may have hit a different shard. Respawned by 1:09Am, and again at 1:53.
