Wowhead Comic #22
Wow, its been a while, hm?
With all this commotion about possibly the most wonderful thing to ever happen to this game (in my opinion), I thought its a good time as any to make a comic about how ridiculous I find all the flame and troll wars.
I have been waiting for a
flying pony mount
for such a long time, and now not only does my main character get to have one, but ALL OF MY TOONS! And all levels of riding skill! Happiest day of my life. Kinda. ... I really like ponies. And sparkly things.
Mmmm. Sparklies.
Edit:
I threw together some wallpaper versions of the comic for you guys. :3

Some Celestial Steed Numbers
So I was speaking with
Draknorr
, who has been doing some math about the release of the
Celestial Steed
mount pictured to the right.
His friend entered the queue for a mount, and at the time the queue was at almost exactly 100k, and the stock ticked from 91% to 90% as he watched. When it ticked down to 89%, there were 46k in the queue. That's around 54,000 mounts for every 1% of the total stock—or, I would guess, about 5 million total mounts.
So this means that every 1% of the stock, they've sold 50k mounts at $25 a piece. That's $1,250,000. At the time of this writing the queue was at 88%—making that $15,000,000 so far—
and that's just in the United States.
Holy cow.

Cataclysm: Vashj'ir Preview
The Cataclysm updates are coming fast and furious now, with Blizzard releasing a preview of the
Sunken City of Vashj'ir!
Vashj'ir is a level 78-82 zone in Cataclysm, which will bring us to the very depths of the sea—and face to face with Queen Azshara herself! Prepare to fight on board ships and submarines (anyone else hoping to see giant turtles again?), and do battle with both the naga and...the vrykul?
You can find out more about the Sunken City of Vashj'ir on the official
Cataclysm preview website

Celestial Steed and Lil' XT Now Available in Blizzard Store!
The wait is over! Blizzard have just updated their own
store
with two amazing new items - the
Celestial Steed
flying mount and
Lil' XT
companion pet! Players have been speculating for quite some time where these new items would be released after they were discovered in a previous patch. The new items have been added to
Blizzard's European store
as well! See prices and more information (including 3D models!) after the break!

Treadmill Mode
Personally, I prefer
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
over both
Advance Wars 2
and
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
(Never really played the first
Advance Wars
), and I'll tell you why.
In Advance Wars: Dual Strike (AWDS), as you play, you unlock skills (+8% attack, faster movement through woods and grass, etc.) that you can equip on your commanding officers before a match. If you get all the highest level skills, and equip them on your two commanding officers, much of the normal campaign becomes incredibly easy. I'm capable of playing through it without paying too much attention, and using it to unwind when I don't want to have to think about anything too hard.
On the flip side, it also has the hard campaign, which assumes you have the best possible COs and the best possible skills, and is still designed to give you a challenge. None of the other Advance Wars games had this ability t

Paladin Class Changes in Cataclysm
Edit:
The inevitable clarifications have been added!
And, fellow paladins, our preview has finally arrived! We are getting 3 new very juicy abilities, one of which (Guardian of Ancient Kings) varies in effect depending on your spec! New healing spell, with a possibility for another one, AoE Blind, Blessing of Might and Blessing of Wisdom becoming a single Blessing (as I suggested some time ago, I dare point out)... but other than those big things, Blizzard doesn't feel ready to provide us with more information.
There is a lot of "we'd like to...", but I'll leave those to you :)

Magazine Update: Issue #2 Coming Soon
For those of you that have subscribed to
World of Warcraft: The Magazine
and haven't checked your email recently, good news! The
next issue
should be out soon!
Our gnomes, trolls, and elves are hard at work wrapping up Issue 2, which features a behind-the scenes interview with the team that creates the quests in World of Warcraft, exclusive screenshots of the world after Cataclysm, and an exhaustive guide to Icecrown Citadel. In the meantime, here's a sneak preview of the cover for you to download as a subscriber-exclusive desktop wallpaper. Just click the link below.
Obviously, I'm not going to post the wallpaper for you or else it wouldn't be exclusive.
;)
However, Blizzard did the same thing in the last email, and later (a month or so after the magazine was mailed) released the wallpaper to the general public. So if you're wanting it for your background, just sit tight! I will tell you this, it appears to be Deathwing and Alexstraza duking it out. Or if you just can't wait for the wallpaper and you want to learn all the secret stuff in the magazine, head on over and [url=

The World of Warcraft Battle Plan
Blizzard has posted their
Battle Plan
on the official forums, and in it they talk about what we've already seen such as
Naxxramas
, to the Dungeon Finder tool and even dual specs. Then further on down they speak about the whole new
Santuario di Rubino
raid encounter which is slated for sometime in the hopefully near future.
After that they look even further into the future and touch on subjects for the upcoming expansion
Cataclysm
like the two new races, the world changing, Operation Gnomeregan & Zalazane’s Fall, and all new hardware upgrades that are planned before the expansion.

Incarnazione: Albero della Vita
being turned into a cooldown ability similiar to

Death Knight Class Changes in Cataclysm!
Edit: Updates and clarifications at the end of the blog!
Zarhym just posted the 5th in the series of Cataclysm Class Previews, and which one does it happen to be? Our ever lovable (or hate-able) Death Knights!
Lots of changes in this one just like the rest, like a change to the current Rune System and the already discussed about change coming to Blood Tanking! What do all the Death Knights out there think of these changes?
You can read the changes soon in our

or you can view them after the break.

Operation: Gnomeregan Imminent
High Tinker Mekkatorque has made an Azeroth Bulletin stating that
Operation: Gnomeregan
is imminent. He goes on to state in this announcement, "After all, Thermaplugg has eluded death for years to keep his reign over Gnomeregan; and with the fall of the Lich King, the last great threat to the citizens of Azeroth, the chance of any cataclysmic event taking place in the foreseeable future is less than 12.7%."
What does this mean for us? I personally think we will be seeing the retaking of Echo Isles and Gnomeregan in the very near future and hopefully with it will come the release of the new
Santuario di Rubino
raid dungeon.
You can read the entire Azeroth Bulletin on the official
World of Warcraft
website.
