Not as good as Diamante Primordiale Austero since tanks who can use a shield doesn't want dodge, and tanks who want dodge doesn't have shields.

Diamante Primordiale Austero is better for all tanks. Stamina isn't that relevant nowadays but the armor increase beats the stats on any metagem.

As dodge diminishes quicker than parry, and seeing as you want to get as close to a 2.5 ratio with your parry/dodge, I would almost lean towards Fleet Primal Diamond to further add to the mastery that shield wearing tanks need.

As avoidance and mitigation is now different than it was in pre-5.0.4 cata, you are going to want as much active mitigation as possible (ie hit), followed by the two-roll chance of avoidance (parry/dodge).

While having 2% armor value is nice, that only accounts for a very small amount of physical damage reduction. Mastery will have more value with the current gear.

Below is a macro that will help you keep track of your parry/dodge ratio. Again, you want more parry than dodge as you get parry rating from STR values.
