Doesn't seem to work with the Crusading Strikes Ret Pal talent.
Or If it does actually work, I just can't say I noticed it much...

Do not use with Frost DK ATM its bugged and both Frost Strike or Obliterate are not proccing the gem. Level 27 so it might have to do with a rank in a talent or something but as of 5/17 the extra aa don't go through when using those abilities. They do work for Deathstrike

It DOES work with Assalti del Crociato. The animation will not trigger multiple times in a row so you can't visually see it, but in Details you can see the number of cast and hits on a target.

On a 4 seconds fight against a random mob, I see 5 to 11 cast/hits of Assalti del Crociato

Assalto Lampo seems to be triggered by Tempesta Divina, Lama della Giustizia and Verdetto Finale for now at least since I'm only level 37 when writing this comment and don't have much more spells yet.

Here's a list of talents that should synergize with Assalto Lampo and Assalti del Crociato :
