so as of at least a hour ago the black scales no longer show up when you look at the color option. it seems like this has been removed from the game before even being able to get it

Still no word on if/when these will ever be obtainable. Same goes for all of the other cosmetics that were shown during 10.2 but not implemented (such as the Yellow scales for the Netherwing).

Still no info :( Not even from the Outland Cup. C'mon Blizz, I want my Mahina back. I want my onyx netherwing. She was my best companion for 15 years.

With the Outland cup starting today I assumed this would be a potential reward, reinforced by the fact that there actually is a Netherwing drake in Orgrimmar with what I assumed to be with this skin. Went to the dragon customization place in Valdrakken and saw it still wasn't available (Would have said the source otherwise), wasn't even available from the vendor in Orgrimmar either.

Did Blizz say anything about this skin yet? Would love to give my Onyx Netherwing Drake an updated model, he has been with me ever since I finished those tiresome dailies in Shadowmoon Valley.

HUGE MISS by Blizzard to not include new colors for Netherwing drakes, like this one, in the Outland Cup. It would be a great reward for the Gold achievement, or as a purchasable manuscript with badges you earn through racing.

with patch 10.2.6 out you get it from the achievement- Now THIS is Dragon Racing!

You might have to relog after finishing the achievement to use this color. It will be automatically learned, there's no actual manuscript. It seems to be buggy for some people. I completed the achievement on March 23rd and the tracking quest is completed for me and I'm able to use the scales in the rostrum.

Here's a script to check if it's unlocked for you. If it returns "true" it means you have learned it:
/dump C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(77147)

It seems like if you earned the achievement early in the patch it wasn't unlocked for you properly.

So I did some deep digging for you, let me explain what's going on!

We are aware of an issue where players completing this achievement may not receive the manuscript, but may have the appearance added directly to their appearances in the Rostrum of Transformation. Please check the rostrum again for the appearance.

If you're unable to find the customization option please submit a bug report for our dev team to investigate further.

We usually handle in game issues by applying workarounds set up by the developers, however, we can't actually directly resolve possible bugs, so usually when we get situations like these, we see on our end if there are any reports that match the description given, or more accurately a workaround we can apply to assist.

When we lack a workaround, the best we can advise is to issue a bug report, that's why it is necessary to pass this through to our dev team through the appropriate channels so that they get the full context of the report, and get the chance to investigate it further, I highly encourage you to submit a bug report on our forums, or using the in game report feature, so our developers can take a closer look and take care of this situation once and for all!

1- Press Esc or click the ? Button to open the menu.

What does it unlock in the rostrum? a 3rd Skin Color I'm assuming?
(I completed the achievement before the reward was real so I only see teal and purple)

I had this, along with many of the new achievements added in this patch, completed upon login on patch day, they have finally fixed the mount rewards from other achievements, but this is still not available in my Rostrum.

I understand it's frustrating when in-game activities don't work as intended and I am sorry you were impacted by an issue like this. We have received multiple reports of this happening to other players, and I can confirm it is not working as designed.

The Developers are aware of the issue and are working on a fix to be applied directly to the game servers. We don't have an ETA on when this will happen, so we recommend keeping an eye on our website and forums for any additional communication. Grats to those who have gotten it, but doesn't seem to have hit everyone, at least not yet, still missing for me, double checked my toons.

Tried creating a new toon lvl 1, lvl 60 class trial, no go on those either.

I got my achievement (Nov. 7th, 2023) before the 10.2.6 patch, ~~so maybe its only working now for those who earned it after the patch.~~

I recevied mine in the mail a couple of days ago, with the standard "This was lost in the nether" message.
I did open a ticket soon after the release of the achievement. This seemed useless and it told me to open a bug report.
I did open a bug report, this obviously got no response. I do not know if that affected me receiving it or not

I submitted a bug report but I'm still waiting for this to show up. I completed the achievement on March 29, 2024 :(

Edit: As of May 2nd, I'm still waiting for this to show up and/or get fixed. I'm tired of submitting bug reports and tickets about it with no actual resolution.

Grotto Netherwing Drake's Black Scales should be properly awarded to players who have completed the Now THIS is Dragon Racing!

~~Either this is the hotfix from ~ a week ago, that only some people got, or this isn't active yet (just checked toons, a no go for me), might need a realm restart to go into effect still.~~

After the weekly Realm Restart this is still broken.

"After taking a look regarding this matter, sadly, we as GMs wouldn't be able to investigate further or grant the achievement, as this is now in the hands of our dev team.

What happens next is that our QA team compiles all the instances of a reported bug and as soon as a bug is confirmed and reproduced on our end, our dev teams start working on it to fix the root cause and make sure it doesn't happen again and the fix is applied with a new patch/update."

This was the most recent reply I got today from Blizzard about the achievement and scales. Just keep submitting bug reports and live in hope that it is fixed with this reset or 10.2.7

Even after this Tuesday with season 4 beginning, I still haven't been granted these scales which I earned the achievement for back in October (6 months ago). Crossing my fingers that they might finally be patched in for 10.2.7?

Edit: Just logged onto 10.2.7. I am dumbfounded to report that I STILL don't see the scales in my mailbox, nor is the option added to my rostrum.

Don't know if it's been fixed, but I did the achievement yesterday and I did receive my scales and am currently using it. So I would check the rostrum y'all just incase. But I am using the scales and had no issues at all

Week NINE, still BUGGED.
At this point saying to submit bug reports is kind of hilarious and borderline insulting. They've had hundreds, if not thousands of reports and CS refuses to confirm it's a very common issue and make it sounds like it's YOUR fault. I.e check rostrum bruh :X
It's not fixed on 10.2.7 PTR, either so 1 day to find out.
We're entering War within waiting room for an achievement to be fixed. Tripple A game.

So doing some research, asking friends who already have them. I think the glyphs being collected on seperate characters is the outlining issue here. The achievement already didn't count as account-wide for me with the races. Can any one else that doesn't have them comment and confirm? P.s Don't just down vote my comment because you'd rather complain then try to help figure out the problem

Idk if to laugh or cry at this point.
Maybe I'll submit a 29th bug report, surely that will help.
