I crafted this at Tavio, but I can't see it in my bag. Does it disappear and just give you the ability?

The item won't show in your bag, same as the harpoon gained from Iskaara Tuskarr.

You ice fish by going to a crack in the ice somewhere like the waypoint below and clicking on the crack. It will open a fishing hole you can fish at for 3 minutes by clicking on the hole.

You can see the cracks in the ice on the minimap as bigger fish icons when tracking fish is enabled.

In 3 minutes I got 12 Frosted Rimefin Tuna worth just under 500g on my realm.

About the ice fishing, the first spot is spot on, i found another by accident just running around. I noticed in the mini map you can see giant ass fish markers. hover over them and you will see the following text 'Ice crack'

Equipping fishing equipment with skill bonus will count towards the skill needed to see the ice axe at the camp. An alt that had 47 fishing couldn't see it but once I equipped a draconium fisherfriend, the ice axe appeared with the +6 skill, putting me over 50. If I removed the pole, the axe despawned and came back upon re-equipping the pole. I believe this is why there is some confusion as to what base skill this appears.

l'm struggling with this. I have made the blade at some point in the past--I know because I can crack open the ice fishing holes. I just can't fish in them. I don't have a quest called Ice Fishing, and it shows I haven't done it already. I'm max renown with Iskaara, and over fishing skill 50. Is there some trick to being able to fish in the ice holes?

right clicking the fishing hole will start the normal cast, but when it's time to click on the bobber clicking just recasts. I assume I'm using the wrong skill for this?
