Last time i did the quest i was able to keep using the same skull, thus onl had to kill one skellie... it's a bug though so might get fixed.

Edit: as of the current patch it is indeed fixed. I was unable to do this while leveling an alt :|

100% droprate when you have the quest.

Took me 6 of those to get my first Resonating Skull.
It might just be bad luck, but I think the chance of success is less than 50%.

Edit: I managed to turn 5 / 13 skulls into Resonating Skulls. 50% sounds pretty correct, I just had a bad start.

So at 13 bone dust and 2 resonating skulls I decided to ditch this quest and go to Outland. Completely not worth the effort now it seems.

I got my five resonating skulls after approximately 10 skull transformations. Don't ditch the quest just because the above posters had bad luck: people who had good luck with these tend not to write about that and just continue with questing.

At 11 bone dust and 4 resonating skulls, I gave up. You might think, "Oh, you're so close! Just keep trying. You'll get it." I didn't give up because I wanted to, I gave up because I couldn't find anymore Scourge Champions. Not, oh look, here's one or two, no, I couldn't find any. I went to both places where the Scourge Champions spawn, and didn't find anymore. Either they have a horrible respawn rate, or I'm just terribly unlucky. Do with this post what you will. If it helped, I'm glad. If not, I'm sorry I wasted your time.

As of today, I got 5 Resonating Skulls out of 8 Fetid Skulls. I haven't tested whether I am just lucky or they made them drop much easier. Can anybody confirm?

These items are for the quest Marauders of Darrowshire. Use the Mystic Crystal to convert these into Resonating Skulls.

i think this has been updated over time.

I am in 9.0.1 and killed 6 champions in about 30 seconds to get 6 skulls, 5 turned into resonating skulls
