Garona Mezzorco's Maestria nello Sterminio counts for 1 full counter

An active racial bonus counts for 1/2

Other bonuses (environment/enemy counters, Tempra Indomita, and Combattente Esperto) count for 1/3

Having everyone at +15 ilvls from the requirement counts for 1/2, or slightly more in certain circumstances.

Once you do, choose one follower of each of the 3 races you get. For example, if the books you wind up with are Beasts, Ogres, and Arakkoa, you might choose Polpetta, Dagg, and Rukaryx Albafurente. Note that I did not choose Leorajh, Blook, or Sacerdote dell'Artiglio Ishaal--they all have locked traits that make it more likely that your books will overwrite each other (you can make a case for Blook, since it's very nice if you get him with two racials, but it's risky since they're more likely to overwrite, and his Combattente Esperto is worse than a racial bonus).

Then, use 2 books on each follower (not their own race). The second book in each case has a 1/3 chance of overwriting the first. This leaves you with a 29.6% chance of having 0 overwrites and 6 bonuses, a 44.4% chance of 1 overwrite and 5 bonuses, and 25.9% chance of a worse result. With any luck, you get at least 5, thereby being able to do any mission with 3 missing counters. If you get bad overwrites, the team should still be useful, but you'll have to wait for more books to fully round it out.

From there, you can buy Manuale del Riaddestramento delle Abilità del Seguaces at your leisure to get whatever abilities give the best spread across the team.

Of the followers with these “unusual” races, virtually all of them are Warriors and Rogues: Sollazzo-Bot 8000, Ziri'ak, Dagg, Tormmok, Blook, Guardia dell'Artiglio Kurekk, Mantodoro lo Scuoiatore, and Polpetta.

The only exceptions are Leorajh and Sacerdote dell'Artiglio Ishaal (Guardia del Corpos) and Rukaryx Albafurente (whose ability list is sadly no different from Warriors and Rogues). You may consider someone like Leorajh simply so that your team has access to Group Damage and Magic Dispel counters, especially if you have extra books in case of an overwrite. But it's not required.

If you do your best to get a spread of abilities amongst a team of 3 Warriors and Rogues, you can still hit 4 counters in every BRF mission (Dominio di Ferro will be the biggest problem).

Wait until you have 2 of any one racial book. Say you get 2 Manuale: Compagnia Selvaggia (Beasts).

Choose your favorite follower of that race, say Polpetta. Do not use a Guardia del Corpo or Blook.

Spam trait rerolls on that follower until you get 2 racial bonuses. Optional: keep going until one of the two is Intesa: Orchi (Horde) or Intesa: Draenei (Alliance) if you want to include Garona Mezzorco. Say you get Orc and Pandaren.

You need to find a Pandaren with Intesa: Orchi (in this example). This requires either using trait rerolls on a Pandaren, or recruiting for Intesa: Orchi from the Inn until you get a Pandaren.

Same as step 4 for an Orc with Intesa: Pandaren. If it's Garona Mezzorco, the odds of the successful trait reroll are low, and this step is optional.

Use the two Intesa: Animales books on the Orc and the Pandaren.

Use ability rerolls as needed to get a good spread.

Step 3 has approximately an 8.5% chance of success looking for any two racials, and a 2.5% chance if requiring a specific one. So you can expect to use about 12 trait rerolls, or 40 if you require Garona Mezzorco. The latter is probably only worth doing if you're very patient and flush with Risorse per la Guarnigione, and have had time to stockpile some rerolls before starting all this.

Step 4 has approximately an 8.2% chance of success, so roughly another 12 rerolls.

Step 5, if it's Garona Mezzorco, has roughly a 5% chance of success. So this would take 20 more rerolls, and coupled with the 50% chance of overwriting it in step 6, is probably not worth doing.

After step 5, you've likely used about 24 trait rerolls (actually less on average, since you have a large set of followers, you had some chance of having the right racials on people already). At this point, the endgame is the same as method A: use the books and then choose abilities. However this is a stronger position than method A since:

You only have 1-2 chances of overwrites instead of 3,
If you have a Garona Mezzorco, your final setup is stronger in every case, and
You have more of a selection of abilities, by choosing a follower who can complement the Warriors and Rogues better.

Wow.
I know a few guys that would rage about the equivalence of 8% and 12 trials, for starters, but for me looks like an awesome guide.
By shear luck I have almost all traits and races right on. I am going to try and optimise 2 spec-ops teams!

I did method B and just got my dream team up and running, and then when i wanted to upgrade the ilvl of one of the followers, I accidentally clicked a mechanotrait instead of the ilvl upgrade in my bag, and now i'm sitting here fuming because I ^&*!ed up the perfect setup :(

One thing I have noticed with patch 6.2 is that the follower trait books now allow you to select which trait to replace making this process much easier.

Is there any app or tool to check how 'perfect' a team is?

What about this setup:

1. Oronok - Bonus with orcs, bonus with beasts
2. Garona - Bonus with orcs, bonus with beasts
3. Pallada - Bonus with orcs, dancing guide

And obviously 6 different counters (which are not covered by dancing guide)

Isn't this team like, perfect? And quite easy to get, you only need 2 beasts books and a couple of rerolls to get 'Child of draenor' on all 3.

So after a little research, I have found that the perfect team is - Gorona, Blook, and Oronok. Reroll until all 3 have Child of Draenor, use 2 ogre books (since books allow you to pick which trait to change now) and give Oronok and Gorona the Ogre companion trait. This will actually leave a trait open on Blook which you can then give him Dancing with, and this effectively gives you 7 countered abilities, 3 auto-boost traits, and all 5 companion trait buffs.

I don't think you can get a more effective team.

Ally of Argus works on an orc follower Garona Halforcen for Alliance ?

Does this mean that all there's a Horde racial equivalent for all the human followers we get ? Like Harrison Jones, Leeroy Jenkins, Croman, & Millhouse Manastorm (gnome). It seems like Alliance have a big racial advantage when it comes to followers.
