Rotation & Abilities
Macros & Addons
Every race except for Goblin and Worgen can play a Monk.
Brewmasters can use Polearms, and Staves.
Iconic Brewmaster Monk abilities:
: Each time you are hit by a melee attack, you gain stacking 8% increased Dodge chance until your next successful Dodge. Also increases your attack power by 8%.
Special Class Hall Rewards
Monk are on the
Protector Tier Token
, sharing tier tokens with
Tier 19 set:
Ironskin Brew increases your Stagger amount by an additional 5%.
Tiger Palm reduces the remaining cooldown on your brews by an additional 1 sec.
Tier 20 set:
Consuming a brew has a 40% chance to generate a Gift of the Ox Healing Sphere.
When a Gift of the Ox Healing Sphere is consumed, your current Stagger amount is lowered by 5%.

What makes Brewmaster Monk Special
: A master of martial arts who excels in smoothing damage. A brewmaster is always prepared, using the resources they have on hand to decide how to survive.
: Energy, which is spent to generate Brews, a resource shared between their damage reduction abilities. Ox Orbs, which are a unique healing resource.
to smooth damage intake and to reduce damage taken.
drops healing spheres around the monk, providing a strong heal when walked over. They can also use
to draw the

. Both of these will generate brew resources for active mitigation. You can also use

Changes in Patch 7.2.5
All changes to Brewmaster abilities, talents, and artifact traits are below! As well, all guide sections have been updated with the changes.

reduced to 40% damage purified, down from 50%
’s Stagger gained has been reduced to 35% from 40%. As well, its duration is now capped at 3 times its max duration
(factoring in Potent Kick). In other words, if your ISB lasts 8 seconds (with 4 ranks of
), your maximum uptime will be 24 seconds.
grants a stack of Elusive Brawler per enemy hit.
grants a stack of Elusive Brawler, CD now 3 seconds and is no longer reduced by haste.
We now have 25% additional armor baseline (due to Brewmaster’s Balance)
now only gives 10% stagger, down from 20%.
is now on a charge system (for the new legendary). There are no other changes.
now heals for 150% of your attack power, up from 86.7%
’s CD by 3 seconds, down from 6.
buffed to give
+20% more damage purified, up from +15%
now has a 100% proc rate, but 30% of the damage from before the patch (functionally no change in damage dealt, merely making the proc rate consistent)

Artifact Trait Changes
