This achievement is awarded after you escape Iso'rath's Maw, even if you only saw one nightmare with Thrall and Deathwing (don't know if there's any more)

A guildie and i were talking about this achievement, because neither of us saw more than the Thrall nightmare. My theory is that the 3 nightmares are :Thrall wanting you to kill Deathwing, the quest to rescue the 4 npc's from the tentacles, and then the Brain. Don't know if that would really be the three nightmares, but we couldn't come up with anything else.

I suspect the nightmares might be:

"Eaten" by Iso'rath.
"Dying" in the stomach.
"Dying" to Deathwing.

Nightmarishly horrific ways for your life to end... and since Iso'rath manipulates our perception of reality, how can we know exactly what happened? Which were the nightmares and which reality? What if we never fell into its Maw and that was just a trick to shake our resolve?

I came to WoWhead for the sole reason to find out what were "the other 2 nightmares except the Thrall one" and yeah it just seems "kill stuff" doesn't scare our protagonist any more so a poor choice of nightmares those were...

I'd make a wild guess one of them was "dying" to the slimes and waking up in the Thrall nightmare and then the last one was to free the fellow Shamans from tentacles?

Yeah I think the Thrall nightmare is noticeable because we can't fight to defend ourselves, can't do anything, so it's a nightmare indeed.

i think the thrall nightmare wasnt necessarily dying, but rather being useless. having thrall call you worthless and failing all of azeroth. i was pissed as well until i figured that it was probable a night mare which was just after that quest.

Actually, it seems a lot more like Blizzard had two other nightmares at some point, but removed them during development. They just haven't changed the description of the achievement yet.

Yogg-Saron, a vaguely similar creature, has multiple visions, though. They're just not really nightmares.

Anyone who has watched "Inception" is likely to overthink this. The beastie was just trying to digest you and the nightmare is how it got you to hold still while it did so.

Frankly, I was disappointed Iso'rath wasn't phased out after you complete the quests to kill him.

This is an overall guide for Twilight Highlands quests for Horde faction. Leads to Consumed by Nightmare, Fading into Twilight and King of the Mountain and also gives nice reputation jump, pre-heroic loot and a fair amount of money. Feel free to correct please, I've done some of the quests when they first came up, so there might be some mistakes obviously.

1.As you already know, you start with Warchief's Command: Twilight Highlands! to open the zone. This chain ends with Ready the Ground Troops.

2.Followed by Ready the Navy, ending with Beating the Market.

3.Ready the Air Force, ending with Negotiations Terminated.

4.Emergency Aid, ending with Dangerous Compassion.

5.You Say You Want a Revolution, ending with Return to the Highlands.

At this point you will unlock the portal and can move to the actual zone.

6.Zaela gives The Northern Flank which leads to Narkrall, the Drake-Tamer. She also gives The Southern Flank which leads to two other quests on the beach; so that you can do the chains starting with Mo' Better Shredder, followed by the Reprisal and lastly Of Utmost Importance.

7.Narkrall gives Crushing the Wildhammer and Drag 'em Down, then you can get Bait and Throttle chain, ending with Fury Unbound. Leading to chains Purple is Your Color and Whispers in the Wind.

8.Garona starts the chain A Vision of Twilight.

9.Mallia starts the chain Paint it Black, ending with Nightmare; combined with Unbroken chain, gives you Consumed by Nightmare and leading to Warm Welcome chain. Warm welcome? -_-

10.So you end the chain with In Defense of the Redoubt quest and Calen here gives Encroaching Twilight, Far from the Nest, Breach in the Defenses and Patchwork Command quests.

11.Patch starts Precious Goods chain, ending with Pressing Forward and leading to Enter the Dragon Queen.

12.Now you can start the Battle of Life and Death chain with pretty good cutscenes.

13.Lirastrasza starts Blackout chain, ending with Last of Her Kind and leading to Crushblow chain ,which ends with Signal the Attack (Be sure to disable any quest-helper addon on this one as you probably won't be able to complete the quest -not in database and its "click to complete").

14.Lady Cozwynn gives Call in the Artillery and Kor'kron Drop quests to start the Four Heads are Better than None chain, ending with Just You and Garona.

15.Garona gives Bring the Hammer Down, Dark Assassins and Help from the Earthcaller which leads to Earthcaller Yevaa and Initiate Goldmine. They give the Unbinding and Portal Overload quests.

16.Doing Distract Them for Me (cloth wearers should be careful on this one) and Spirit of the Loch chains together, you end up with Mr. Goldmine's Wild Ride.

17.So..you're in the cave, starting the A Little on the Side chain. Don't forget to take Rune Ruination as its your ticket out. Ending with A Fiery Reunion, the last chain is here, starting with Garona Needs You.

18.End the chain with Skullcrusher the Mountain and get your achievement!

Note: Probably you won't need to do every quest on this guide to get the achievement. And you can definately do the dailies to earn reputation with this guys (after unlocking them of course). I know its a lot time consuming but its really fun and the cutscenes are pretty cool and I don't even like questing.

When you "die" to the slimes, does the game increase the death count statistics?

Careful if you change faction! At the moment (19 July 2012), if you change faction (e.g. transferring from Horde to Alliance) your quest progression in Twilight Highlands is reset and you have to start over from scratch (travelling there, securing the support of the Dragonmaw Orcs or Wildhammer Dwarves, etc.).

BUT if you already had the present achievement (Sogni agitati), you will NOT receive the quest sending you to Maw of Madness (Fauci della Follia), meaning that you are essentially stuck and cannot progress on the quest line in Twilight Highlands. This can be a problem if you hadn't yet secured Tramonto del crepuscolo or Re della montagna.

Bug is reported and Blizzard working on it.
