(( Let it began ))
Part One
- The Argent Dawn assembled before him. Nilon was in shock, he had never thought he would find himself in this situation. Celen stood next to him - no horses were available to them at the moment - Thrrag, Scalebender and Valinaria stood with the gathered Warriors and Paladins. Nilon wasn't sure what to do.
- Celen put a hand on her lover's shoulder. "Say something," she said softly.
- Nilon nodded, then began.
- "I've never been one for words, they're difficult and have too may meanings. But that's just me. However, I am willing to put aside such beliefs about myself to say these words.
- "After the fall of Quel'thalas, I thought all was lost. My spirit, as well as the spirits of several of my friends, was broken. We thought that this was the end for us, that the time of the elves had finallly come to an end. However, I and the other survivors banded together and pressed on, laying the groundwork for what has been done here.
- "As fate would have it, I was not meant to stay in the north. I moved south, taking refuge in the great city of Stormwind. I trained and eventually progressed from Priest to Paladin. But my tale - obvious as that is - did not end there.
- "It was to be a simple mission, but once again the hand of fate decided otherwise. My ship was attacked and we were sent overboard. We washed up in the wetlands, and, after several events, secured the aid of the Naga Zerksis Scalebender.
- "After that we moved on to Kalimdor, where the Shaman Thrrag Earthbreaker saved us and eventually joined us on our mission. After a trek through the water-forsaken Barrens we secured passage to the Eastern Kingdoms aboard a Goblin Ship. Again we were attacked by Naga and, again, we managed to fend them off. However, one of our own, a mighty and honorable Warrior by the name of Jason Thomas, gave his life to save us from certain death.
- "But his death would not be in vain, for we did make it to the Trisfal Glades, and it was there that we secured the aid of the Scarlet Crusade, for a time. One Crusader, the Ranger Valinaria, still aids us.
- "Redemptions were made through all this, but great sacrifices were made also. Celen Dawnweaver, the love of my life, gave into the hunger of the Blood Elves and was nearly lost to the Scourge. But, even through that, the Light prevailed, and she was saved."
- He paused to take a breath. "From Menethil up through the Plaguelands, though, one man has stalked us. Former Lord-Paladin William Morec, now a Death Knight of the Scourge, has hounded our every step. But I feel that there is still good in him, as he has not fought his hardest against us in his supposed quest to kill me, and has even let us go on certain occasions.
- "Through all this I stand before you now. The Light made my being here possible and fate sent me for a reason, I see that now. On this day, we will put the fear of death back into death itself. We will give them
no
quarter, we will show them
no
mercy, we will not let a single, unliving creature survive this attack!
- "Soldiers of the Argent Dawn: CHARGE!"
- Cheers and battle cries erupted all around. Then, with Nilon leading the way, they charged forward.

Part Two
- Morec watched as the Argent Dawn charged towards the mill. There were many of them, but Morec didn't fear them. Around him were some of the strongest and most deadly of the Scourge's Abominations, Ghouls, and other undead creatures that the Plaguelands had to offer - all courtesy of Itheac.
- The Necromancer himself, though, was not present. Whatever he sought within Stratholme was taking some time to retrieve, so he had sent the reinforcements that Morec now commanded ahead of him.
- The undead could not be rallied by words, so the Lord Death Knight didn't waste his breath. He drew his runeblade and commanded the undead forward with his will.
- The Abominations tore through the first wave of Argent soldiers and the Ghouls picked off any stragglers. But then the Paladins joined the battle and the undead were forced back.
- Morec swung his runeblade again, directing the spellcasters to began their assault. The skeletal Mages complied, attacking with a barrage of necromantic and frosty spells. It didn't halt the Argent Dawn immediately, but it did slow them down. And, slowly, the Scourge began to gain the advantage. Morec peered into the chaos, and grinned.
- The Blood Elf Paladin was there.
- Spurring his mount on, he rushed into the battle. Before he had a chance to reach the Paladin, though, the other Argent Dawn warriors intercepted him. He fought them off, slaughtering them all in a matter of minutes, but not before he was forced to fight on foot - the Argents having reduced his mount to a crippled husk.
- He continued to fight his was towards the Paladin, killing each and every mortal in his way. Finally, after much glorious bloodshed, he reached him, and swung his runeblade at the elf.
- Nilon managed to dodge it. "Morec!" he exclaimed upon seeing the Death Knight.
- "Expecting someone else?" the Lord Death Knight smirked. "This time, you
wont
escape."
- "Hold fast, Sir Nilon! You wont stand alone!" Maxwell Tyrosus and a handful of Argent Warriors fought their way to the opposing figures. "You can't defeat us all, unholy one!"
- "True," Morec said, "so how about I even the scales?" He snapped his arm upward, palm open, and channeled massive amounts of necromantic energy into the soil. One by one, Ghouls struggled out of the earth and attacked the Argents.
- Maxwell disposed of the Ghouls that came after him easily enough, but his allies were forced into an actual battle. "We'll take him together," Maxwell told Nilon, walking up to the Blood Elf.
- "Well I'm taking
you
now!" Morec roared and rushed toward the human, bringing his sword down on Maxwell's head.
- Lord Tyrosus dodged the attack and struck with his own sword, but Morec parried the attack with ease. Nilon then joined the battle, striking with his own sword, but Morec parried it as well and then struck at Tyrosus again, this time with a blast of necromantic energy.
- Tyrosus blocked the spell with his shield, but the sheer power of the magic shattered the bones in his arm and sent him sprawling backwards.
- "Now, you're
mine
!" Morec turned to face Nilon.
- Nilon didn't speak, but he listened. He heard strange, chime-like music, but that wasn't all. Amidst the music were voices, soft, caring, harmonious voices, much like those of angels.
-
You have our blessing
, they said.
Strike this dark one down with it
.
- "Goodbye, Paladin." Morec raised his runeblade and brought it down.
- Nilon outstretched his hand, a blast of light coming from it. The Holy energy flung Morec back, and the Argent Dawn, the Scourge and Nilon's allies looked at the Paladin in awe and wonder.
- He was drenched in the Holy Light, his once plain, silver armor now a shining gold. His skin glistened and his hair had become a bright blond color, and it danced around his head as if caught in a gale. Even his eyes glowed yellow and a pair of angelic wings sprouted from his back, all these things evidence of the Holy Light's blessing.
- "I am Sir Nilon Lighteye," the Light-blessed Paladin announced. "I have spoken with the Light, and it has given me its blessing. With this power I will strike down you Scourge and cleanse this land. Now,
begone
!"
- A massive blast of bright, Holy energy rippled out from Nilon. It washed over the living harmlessly, healing them, even, but all Scourge caught in its way were terminated. Ghouls, Skeletons and all other smaller undead were turned to dust while the larger creatures such as Abominations were burned to a permanent death.
- Nilon, having exerted the excess holy energy, now appeared in his normal form. The Blood Elf Paladin looked around, Morec was nowhere in sight. Cleary his spell had destroyed The Death Knight completely.
- But then the charred remains of an Abomination toppled over, and Morec stepped out from behind it. Through the use of the unliving shield and his own power he was virtually untouched. But he
was
greatly weakened. Nilon gripped his sword and moved forward to execute the Death Knight.
- Then a wave of energy knocked him and the other living backwards. The same energy then chained them to the ground.
- "
I should have known better then to dawdle
," an icy voice said, "
but I had not expected an attack this soon. You mortals are either very bold or very, very reckless
."
- On a small rise overlooking the mill, a lone Necromancer stood. His robes were black and a human skull was sitting on his head like a mask. But none of these things paled in comparison to this one, truly shocking detail.
- In his right hand, Itheac carried a stone figurine, carved in a strange, tribal style that Nilon had seen before.

Part Three
- "Master," Morec began, "I have brought these mortals to you. Now you may destroy them at leisure."
- "
Silence, worm
," Itheac said, "
you did nothing of the sort. You couldn't even hold them off long enough for me to return. Had I not arrived when I did you would be dead
." The Necromancer looked back at the living. "
It is clear that you are useless and weak
."
- Morec's eyes narrowed. "We'll see about that!" The Death Knight charged at the Necromancer, runeblade raised. His hate gave him power, made him strong. With it he would smite down the Necromancer.
- But Itheac was stronger. With a simple gesture Morec was locked in place by dark magics. "
You
dare
try to strike me? I knew letting you keep your mind was a mistake
!"
- Morec was shocked. "H-how long have you known?"
- "
Since yesterday
," Itheac said, "
you were quiet about it, but the loud Paladin's talking had enough key words in it to show me your
true
loyalty
."
- "Then w-why didn't you stop me there?"
- Itheac glared at him. "
The
Lich King.
He told me to leave your mind intact. He said that you were special, that he had plans for you
." The Necromancer's brow furrowed further in hate. "
I don't care what he said now, though. I'm going to crush your mind, slowly
."
- Morec screamed in rage, before he was thrown backwards. He hit the side of a hill with such force that he passed out.
- Itheac turned back to the living. "
You were right about one thing, Morec, they did come here to die
.
Their lives are meaningless, like yours
." He chuckled. "
How simple it was to draw the great Argent Dawn from their Chapel. You've left yourselves exposed, mortals, nothing can save you now
."
- Itheac grinned, but that grin sharply turned to a scowl as the relic he held was pulled from his hand. "
No
!" he exclaimed, using his power to pull it back towards him. The conflicting magics of the two held the item in between Itheac and Scalebender - who had managed to break free of the Necromancer's spell.
- "The Silzzorthess Idol is mine, old man," the Lord Naga hissed. "It is bound to me! How you manage to bend it to your will while I am near is beyond me. Give it here!"
- "
I killed a full regiment of Blood Elves single handed to obtain this
," Itheac retorted. "
I am
not
going to just let it go
!"
- It was a battle of wills between the two spellcasters. The area crackled with energy that disrupted the soil, churned the air, and started small fires as well as dousing them. Nilon, Celen, Thrrag and Valinaria - the only people besides the two magicians left conscious after Itheac's magical assault - watched in awe as
neither
gained the upper hand.
- "
You cannot beat me
," Itheac grinned. "
I have been studying that thing. I know what makes it
tick."
- "That's true," Scalebender's eyes narrowed. "I can't beat you. But, you also can't beat me. Of course, I can't just let you have the Idol."
- With a burst of magic the Silzzorthess Idol went flying towards the Necromancer. Itheac caught it, grinning victoriously.
- The Idol then exploded in a burst of energy.
- Itheac was flung back several feet, but landed upright, and with the Idol's destruction Nilon and his allies who had been chained down by the Idol's power began to stand. "
What cheap parlor trick was
that?" the Necromancer demanded. Scalebender just smirked. Then Itheac's left hand fell off.
- "
W-what have you done to me
!" Itheac demanded.
- "I've turned your own magics against you, to put it simply," the Battle-Mage replied. "And you know what happens to Necromancers who can't control their own powers."
- "
No. No, no
, NO!" Itheac's body continued to slowly fall apart as his own magics rejected him.
- Nilon tired to avert his eyes, but found himself watching the gruesome spectacle all the same. "And so," he said to himself, "it ends."
- "Well done, Sir Nilon," a masculine voice said. "I knew you'd succeed.
- Nilon turned looked over at the voice's direction of origin. "Lord Marcus Holyhammer?" the Blood Elf said, slightly confused by the Paladin's sudden presence. "What are you doing here?"
- "Marcus Holyhammer?" Stormwind's Master Paladin said. "Oh, yes, I almost forgot. Excuse me for a moment."
- He cupped his left hand just underneath his line of sight and then reached up behind his head with his right hand and struck the back of his skull. The force of the blow sent the optical organs flying into his grasp. With his right hand he then grasped his hair and pulled, removing his entire face and scalp. His two followers did the same. These two actiosn showed a startling truth about the false Paladins' appearances: their flesh was deathly-pale and their eyes flowed icy-blue.
- "Marcus Holyhammer died long ago," the Death Knight said. "I am
Orbaz Bloodbane
."

Part Four
- "It's not possible," was all Nilon could say.
- "Oh, it's possible," Orbaz corrected. "Just not probable."
- "But, the Cathedral of Light, the other Paladins, how were you-."
- "Able to avoid detection?" Orbaz finished for him. "Such is the improbable part. Suffice it to say that the Lich King gave me the power to keep my true identity and affiliation a secret."
- "But, why? Why send me into conflict against you own kind?"
- "Let's let Itheac explain that," Orbaz said, grinning.
- "
Stop the chatter and heal me, Orbaz
!" Itheac ordered the Death Knight. "
Do something! You can't just let me
die!"
- "Actually, Necromancer, I can." Orbaz spurred his mount over to a curtain near the north of the mill, his two minions followed.. "Tell me, Sir Nilon, have you been shown what lies underneath this?" When Nilon didn't reply Orbaz's grin widened, then he quickly reached up and pulled the drape away.
- Behind it was a large, metal object, not unlike a goblin holiday rocket. Some key differences, though, were - of course - it was larger and was made of a strange, dark greenish-black metal that seemed sturdier then even thorium, but also far lighter. Of course, the emblem of the Scourge was chiseled into it as well.
- "This is what Itheac has been working on for three years now," Orbaz said. "This is the culmination of a dark dream. This... this...
Plague Missile
- created with stolen Goblin technology - will allow me to spread the Scourge's influence with impunity!"
- "You? I
created this
!" Itheac yelled.
- "Hence the reason for the Paladin's presence," Orbaz continued. "You see, I reasoned that - somehow - he would be pulled into this entire scheme. He is strong, and I knew that he'd be able to defeat you - however, I hadn't fathomed that it would happen the way it just did.
- "At that point, I would step in and claim this project as my own. The Lich King will surely reward me many times over for it, and even more once the world is his."
- "
Orbaz you
traitor!
Don't you dare
-," Itheac never had the chance to finish. As he spoke Scalebender's spell reached its final stage, and the Necromancer crumbled into a rotting mess of flesh, bone and clothes.
- "Only one last thing remains to be done," Orbaz said, drawing his runeblade from its sheath. "Sir Nilon, I invite you to join me in undeath. Even though you are inferior to me, consider it an act of goodwill."
- "No chance of it," Nilon growled. His sword glowed with the Holy Light and he charged Orbaz and his Death Knights.
- With a dismissive wave of his hand, Orbaz sent his two minions ahead of him. The two swung their runeblades at the Paladin, but Nilon parried them both. He then swung his sword, the Holy-charged blade cutting through both the mounts and their riders and reducing them all to dust.
- Orbaz watched it all in horror. Nilon turned his gaze on the Death Knight. "Run," he ordered, and Orbaz complied.
- Once the Death Knight was out of sight, Nilon turned his attention to the Plague Missile. He'd have to find a way to dismantle it, after all, it couldn't be indestrucable. Could it? As he began to think about what might be effective in demolishing the thing, a sound drew his attention to Morec. The Death Knight was sitting in a fetal position, making a noise that sounded like a mix between laughter and crying. His runeblade was sitting at his feet.
- Nilon walked up to Morec. "I had thought that I remembered how sweet freedom was," the former Lord-Paladin said. "But I-I never imagined what if would feel like to be free again after all these years."
- Nilon placed a comforting hand on Morec's shoulder. Although the Death Knight had the taint of the Scourge upon him, he
had
once been a Paladin. Surely the Light could forgive him. His actions had not been his own, after all.
- Then Morec moved. He quickly grabbed his runeblade, then turned around and swung at Nilon. The Blood Elf barely had enough time to dodge the attack. He readied his blade for battle as Morec continued to speak.
- "But why should I surrender my power," Morec said, "when I can have it
and
my freedom? For my loyalty through all of this, I will be rewarded greatly. And when I present your corpse to him, I will be rewarded even further."
- Nilon scowled. He'd been a fool to think that there was still some good in Morec, that some last bits of the Paladin still remained. Once a Death Knight always a monster, it seemed. "Then my allies and I will make short work of you," Nilon said.
- "Yes, you would. But this is between you and me." A runic circle formed for a twelve yard radius around the Death Knight and Paladin. A wall of unholy energy then formed along the perimeter of the circle, preventing anyone from entering. "Your friends wont interfere."
- "They wont, I will," Celen sensed what the spell Morec had used was going to do, and dove inside the circle just before the wall formed. She walked up to Nilon's side, ready to fight.
- Morec chuckled. "So be it. With Itheac dead, his grasp on my mind and restrictions on my powers are fully undone. There is no way you can defeat me.
-
We'll see about that
, Nilon thought and then charged at the Death Knight, Celen began to chant a spell.
- "
Anaralah'belore
!"

Part Five
- As Nilon charged at him, Morec cast a spell that caused
icy chains
to materialize around the Paladin's legs, slowing him, but not stopping him. When Nilon closed in he swung his blade - still glowing with the
Holy Light
- at Morec. However, the Death Knight parried it with ease and then sidestepped an
orb of fire
cast by Celen.
- Morec's runeblade then became a
conduit for the Plague
. The attack hit Nilon full on, as did an icy blast that
froze him in place
. Morec savored the moment - and also took some damage for a barrage of Celen's
arcane projectiles
- before advancing. His runeblade shimmered with the
might of the Scourge
, and he swung at Nilon again.
- Fortunately, the ice took most of the blow, but Nilon still felt some of the pain from the attack. He tired to run, but
skeletal hands grabbed at his legs, slowing his movement
. Morec prepared to attack again, but Celen drew his attention with a
fiery blast
long enough for the Paladin to make it back to relative safety.
-
The Holy Light flashed around
Nilon, healing some of his more minor wounds completely, but the moderate and more grievous gashes in his flesh were only slightly mended.
- Morec, scowling, flung a
coil of death
at Celen. It hit her full on, but she endured through it. However, the necromantic energy called a swarm of
vile insects
to her, and she frantically tried to shoo them away. Enraged by this, Nilon charged Morec again, Holy energy jumping from his palm in the form of
lightning
. The attack damaged Morec, and the radiation from it chased the insects away from Celen and healed some of her wounds.
- The Lord Death Knight was furious. He attacked Nilon again, his runeblade
seeking the Paladin's blood
. The attack grazed Nilon, and Morec drank in the living liquid that spilled out,
regaining his strength
. The strike against the Paladin also sent Morec into an
unholy frenzy
. Morec
jabbed his runeblade at Nilon's heart
, but the Blood Elf threw up a
shield of holy energy
to defend himself. He was safe from the damage, but the unholy power in the runeblade still hurt Celen. Seeking to remove Nilon's shield, Morec channeled the power of the
Apocalypse into his blade
. The sheer force of the attack successfully destroyed Nilon's shield, but did little damage to the Paladin.
- Once again seeking to retreat to his allies side to regain his strength, Nilon summoned up a
storm of the Light's power
. The Holy magic kept Morec at bay long enough for Nilon to retreat once more to Celen's side, where he proceeded to
heal
himself again. At this moment Celen finished preparing a spell that she had been working on. She combined the powers of
ice and flame together
and cast it at Morec...
- ...who was unamused. With a wave of his hand he separated the frost part of the spell from the fire and threw it back at the Mage, who the magic
gripped
around. Then, with a gesture of his runeblade, he conjured a green shell of dark magic around himself that absorbed the flame-based magic and converted it into energy for his own use. Grinning, he released that energy in a
powerful strike
that washed over Nilon and Celen..
- Nilon tried to channel the Holy Light, but he had exhausted his strength and found it impossible. So Celen stepped up her attack.
- She
teleported
herself behind Morec and unleashed an
arcane explosion
, then a
blast of ice magic
. She then
blinked
back away and called down a
pillar of fire
and then a hail of
icy shards
down on the Death Knight, before
summoning up a water elemental
to attack Morec for her while she rested.
- Despite the read-constant barrage of magic, Morec still stood.. He used Necromantic magic to
raise a ghoul
from the earth and sent it after the elemental, distracting it while he rasied an
army of the undead
. With his minions drawing the attacks for him, Morec used the power in his runeblade to
regenerate his strength
.
- With the last bits of his energy, Nilon threw a
hammer of holy energy
and
healed every one of his wounds
. "No more spells, Morec," Nilon taunted the Death Knight. "We finish this one on one, blade on blade."
- Morec smirked and charged Nilon, his runeblade ready to strike with an overhead blow. Nilon dodged the attack with a jump to the right, and replied to it with his own swing at Morec's legs, trying to cripple him. The Death knight, though, deflected the blow and tried to decapitate Nilon with a mighty strike coming from the right. But the Paladin ducked underneath it.
- Nilon back-stepped five paces and then tried a spinning attack, but Morec backed up and, seeing a break in Nilon's defenses, struck. The Paladin filled the gap quickly, and, after parrying the attack, jabbed his sword at Morec's midsection. The Death Knight held his blade steady and managed to deflect Nilon's attack to the right.
- Morec gave an underhanded swing and Nilon grabbed either end of his sword, planning on the momentum of the swing to carry him up and over the Death Knight's head. But, at the last moment, Morec diverted his blade away and then brought it back in a powerful strike.
- "I've seen that one before," Morec said as his blade came ever closer to Nilon's skull. The Paladin ducked and rolled backwards, giving him some more distance from Morec. With a twitch of his hand, Morec
pulled the Ghouls away
from Celen's water elemental - which bled back into the plane from which it came - and had them jump at Nilon. The Light blessed him with protection and he sliced away at the Ghouls.
- "It seems you and I are evenly matched," Morec said. "Our battle would go on forever, so I'm ending it here." The Death Knight grinned. "I'm also ending a life."
- Unable to help, all living in the area were forced to watch in horror as
icy chains
prevented Celen from moving and
chains of shadow
prevented her from casting any spells. Morec, grinning, released his grip on his runeblade. It
danced in the air for a few moments
, and then flew straight for Celen.
- "NO!" Nilon yelled in horror, and ran to try and intercept the blade with his own body.
- But he wasn't fast enough, and the blade slashed through Celen's chest.
-
Dark energy pulled
the runeblade back into Morec's grasp. The Death Knight began to chuckle victoriously, and eventually broke out into a peal of cruel laughter.
- Nilon sunk to his knees. He had failed, the past had repeated itself. Innocent blood was on his hands, and, this time, it had been someone that he truly loved. "You," he said darkly, "you will pay for this!"
- "Doubtful," Morec retorted, "I need not tarry here any longer." His runeblade flashed, and a bat-like screech echoed on as a
gargoyle flew into sight
.
- Nilon looked at it. The thing was massive, big enough to carry a man away- no! He wouldn't let Morec escape! Nilon's sword glowed with the Holy Light - brighter than even the sun - and he charged Morec.
- The Lord Death Knight grinned, the runes on his blade shined with dark purple energy, and blue energy swirled around it. He charged towards the Paladin as well. As the two neared each other they brought their swords up, and then down.
- The blades clashed.
- The air in the area was sucked in to the point where the weapons met. It then exploded outward, sending the two adversary's skidding backwards.
- Panting, Nilon gripped his blade with both hands. There was a burning sensation on his left hand, he tried to ignore it, but it got worse and worse, until it felt like a wildfire raging across his skin. Grimacing in pain, he dropped his sword, removed his left gauntlet, and stared at his palm.
- In his skin, dark magic had burned the insignia of the Scourge.
- He looked back at Morec, the Death Knight was also staring at the palm of his left hand. He then smirked and showed it to Nilon.
- Holy energy had burned the emblem of the Knights of the Silver into his palm.
- "It would seem that our fates are forever entwined," Morec said. "But, for now, our paths uncross. I leave you to contemplate your future. Meet me in Northrend if you wish to settle the score between us."
- "No!" Nilon shouted, "we finish this here! Now!" The Paladin - sword raised - ran towards the Death Knight - who stood in place, calm as could be. Nilon bought his sword down in a massive overhand blow, but Morec jumped to one side and grabbed the leg of the gargoyle he'd summoned as it passed.
- Nilon glared at Morec's silhouette as it faded into the horizon. "I'll hunt you to the ends of Azeroth if I have to!" he yelled. "Do you hear me? To the ends of Azeroth!"
- Nilon stewed in his hate and rage for a few minutes, then remembered: Celen! He ran to her corpse and cradled it in his arms. It was growing colder and colder by the second. The magical barrier that had kept them out faded, and Thrrag, Scalebender, and Valinaria walked in. "You're a Shaman, do something!" Nilon implored the Orc.
- Thrrag's face was a mix of shock, sheer terror, and understanding. "I- I can't," he said. "When Celen had me revive you the Spirits told me that another life would be taken as payment. I had thought they meant me, but," he placed a hand over his mouth. "Great Ancestors, please, forgive me."
- Nilon nodded. He understood Thrrag's words, he just wished he didn't. He stood up, slowly, still holding Celen's body in his arms.
- "What are you going to do now, Paladin?" Scalebender asked.
- "I'm going to bury Celen in consecrated ground," he said.
- "Light's Hope?"
- "No, that place has not seen the last of conflict. I'll bury her somewhere quiet, away from both the Scourge and the living. After that I head to Northrend."
- "We'll come with you," Valinaria said.
- Nilon disagreed. "No, I wont live in the past, but I wont put any of you in harm's way. I go to Northrend alone."
- Thrrag understood. "Somethimes a man must walk his path in solitude. I wish you luck, and may the Spirits be with you. I shall return to Orgrimmar. I've been away from my people for too long."
- Valinaria sighed. "Then I'll head to Stormwind. Those demons we fought at the Thandorril River were enough to prove to me that the Scarlet Crusade is going down a dark path, perhaps it always has been. Besides, Stormwind will need some help to make sure that no one like Orbaz can ever find a way in."
- Everyone then looked to Scalebender. "And you?" Nilon asked.
- The Lord Naga thought. "My failure to retrieve the Silzzorthess Idol will, without doubt, result in some punishment should I return to Nazjatar, as will my murdering Leechfinn - although I am glad to be rid of him. But, where else do I have to go?" He looked Nilon in the eyes. "Should I survive the Empress' wrath, though, know this, brother: should you ever need my assistance, I will come to your aid. He extended a hand, Nilon shook it.
- Then the four friends went their separate ways, Scalebender and Trrag to the west, Valinaria to the south, and Nilon - Celen's corpse still in his arms - to the north...
(( And so it ends... ))

Writer's Commentary:
- Glad to see that people enjoyed this part of the page. I, personally, had my doubts that it would be well recived, due to the lack of good ol' violence and the poorly written content.
- The speech was one of two things: a way to rally the Argent Dawn for battle, and a summery of the whole of Light and Death up to this point. In that regard, I think I succeded.
- From this point on it will be almost never-ending conflict. Prepare yourself! The Battle of Browman Mill begans soon!

(( Let it beg

Part 1
- The Argent Dawn assembled before him. Nilon was in shock, he had never thought he
would
could possibly ever
find himself in this situation. Celen stood next to him - no horses were available to them at the moment - Thrrag, Scalebender and Valinaria stood with the gathered Warriors and Paladins. Nilon wasn't sure what to do.
My main critique is that speeches, in literature, are boring. You broke this up into bullets (-), but why don't you instead break it up with some action? If a character speaks for too long it drags and people lose interest.
The rest are just some grammatical errors. "... he had never thought he could possibly ever find himself in this situation" is
redundant
. A "would" would have been enough; it would have provided the same effect without being as wordy (and frankly, "he could possibly ever" sounds very childish.)
Yeah, your right. Thanks for the suggestion.
EDIT: And you make a good point about speeches. The first part of this was ment to be a summery, though. The next four parts have enough action and plot squeezed in that it should make up for this.
EDIT2: Going through Part 1 to make some changes to the speech.

The Relic that the Naga was after, I am assuming! :O
Hmm, will the other characters get mentioned in the battle? I like the Nilon v Morec fight, but it seems like the others are catching flies. ;)

Writer's Commentary:
- You've guessed, and I'll confirm you're suspicion: the idol that Itheac carries is indeed the Silzzorthess Idol. It should come as no suprise that he has it. Look back to
Page 10
and Scalebender's reaction when Morec first arrives:
Scalebender's eyes narrowed. “You have a familiar smell around you, undead,” he said, “But how could you have-.” His slanted eyes widened. “Of course!”
- At the time I was worried that I was being to obvious about it. But, juding by your comments, it seems I managed to keep the Idol's location shrouded in mystery.
- Nilon, his allies and the Argent Dawn are incapacitated by the power of the Idol. Will they be able to survive Itheac's wrath, or is this the beganing of a new path for Nilon and them? I've stated before that I don't like messing with Lore, but in the name of a good story, I might just kill off the Dawn >:)
